UNVETTED AFGHAN PEDOPHILE ARRESTED. Basir Ahmad Safi, an Afghan national, was arrested by DHS on March 11. Safi has a disgusting criminal history, including indecent exposure to a minor, soliciting a child by computer, child abuse, and lascivious exhibition. Safi was allowed into our homeland in 2021 as a part of President Biden’s "Operation Allies Welcome” and was arrested only two years later for his sex offenses. He should have NEVER been allowed into America and given the opportunity to prey on innocent children. DHS will continue to identify and remove the public safety threats, like Safi, within our nation.

DETAINER ISSUED FOR ALLEGED NC MURDERER
Venezuelan national Angelvis Jesus Quintero Fernandez was arrested for allegedly shooting a man to death in Mecklenburg County, NC, Jan. 24.
ICE issued a detainer on him with the Mecklenburg County Jail March 23 to prevent him from reentering the community.
