It's worth noting that Swalwell has publicly criticized Bondi in the past. All of this has played out against the backdrop of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Bondi behaved like a good MAGA foot soldier and helped in the ongoing coverup, but loyalty alone is never enough for Trump.
