@AtiqueNaqvi @GadSaad Syed, perhaps you are one of those he is calling out. From an intellectual state of mind and only if you are able, read the book without bias and prejudice. Only then you should deliver a subjective review of the content or writers abilities then provide valuable feedback.

@GadSaad Gaslighting, again. Whoever doesn’t agree with you is acting in bad faith? “…bad faith actors..” wow. The way you are going with your superficial idiotic theories, and people are calling you out.. I am sure you’ll soon take shelter under the flimsy tent of antisemitism.

I'm receiving hundreds of messages from fans who loved my book Suicidal Empathy. Please consider posting your kind words as Amazon reviews. It truly helps especially given the fact that there are many bad faith actors...

@MelissaLMRogers @thepairodocs I'm not excited about this prospect, but I'm afraid that it's only a matter of time before the governments all make VPNs illegal, because of their ability to circumvent surveillance... The law might even be applied retroactively, depending on the government...

Dear @dunkindonuts Welcome back to Canada! We’re thrilled to have you here and wish you every success in our beautiful country. A friendly piece of advice for your franchise owners: Hire Canadians. Using the Temporary Foreign Worker program won’t be well-received here. Your brand’s long-term success in Canada will depend on supporting local workers and communities. Thank you for your attention to this matter. U.S. cafe chain Dunkin’ set to open hundreds of Canadian locations by late 2026 ctvnews.ca/business/artic…

@junonewscom @MarkJCarney The British and French explorers did the same when establishing colonies in what is now the USA. Stop trying to divide Canadians and Americans.

Called it on my show: this government was going to try selling us that because their deficit came in below projections, somehow it can be MacGyver’d into “we have lowered the deficit”. I have a lot of respect for Ms. Church, but this makes me think she doesn’t have much for us.
Leslie Church 🇨🇦@lesliechurch

The deficit is coming down 📉 Home prices and rents are coming down 📉 The GDP is going up 📈 Non-U.S. exports are going up 📈 Why? Because our plan is starting to pay off. We are empowering workers, we are investing in Canada and we are Building 🇨🇦 Strong.

You people are missing the point. We don't need the Americans. Carney has signed one of the largest trade deals ever in the world with the brics countries. We're diversifying trade away from Americans that will cause shortage of Canadian goods and allow us to increase our prices. Moreover, we should cut our oil deliveries United States and we should cut off all our electricity and hydro to the United States. Enough is enough

"Canada is in a very weak position within CUSMA, whether we want to admit it or not. Mexico is likely to secure a deal with the U.S. first, again, leaving Canada to return to the table, make concessions it initially resisted—including granting greater access to its dairy market."

@whittakertp Makes sense since the province took over the maintenance and responsibility of the Gardener. Why not police it. TPA needs to focus on ehat they can influence and help, not promote division within services.

@mobinfiltrator Back in the day we would have 1 or 2 guys extra go out in a spare car. Staff would say "Give me 25 and you get to go home early." Guys would prewrite 25 and fill the speed in later. Most were done by noon and they were out. Pure horseshit to say theres no quotas.

In 2015 Chief Glenn De Caire publicly stated there was "no ticket quota" in #Hamilton, #Ontario, after several officers were accused of writing up fake tickets. He's a fucking liar, or he's woefully incompetent and he didn't even know the orders being passed down. 2011 I applied traffic. I did not want to work traffic. I wanted to work by myself and stay the fuck away from everyone. 2012 I was posted to the Traffic office. I was told "your monthly ticket quota is 113." Exact words. In Jan I issued 296 tickets, by far the most in the departments history. Most outsides schools, because my thought if you speed there, you don't care about the safety of children, and I need to address that. I wasn't trying to cause problems. The public now paid me to commit to road safety, so that's what I intended to do. First two weeks of Feb I was on leave. I returned to a rather angry, very short, almost dwarf like, acting Sgt, who asked, "What's your problem?" He explained I was trying to fuck the system and make everyone else look bad. I was past arguing at this point. Defeated. This was a time when I still regularly thought about killing myself, and in hindsight they were well aware of that. I mean these fuckers had literally conspired to murder me while I was undercover and nothing happened. I just nodded. So ... I worked out because of leave I needed to do 69 tickets for Feb, and thats what I did. This turned 'Grumpy,' into 'Happy.' In Mar, Insp. Jamie Anderson, again a vertically challenge, pretense of a 'man,' who had made it clear time and time again he didn't like me, called me into his office. He asked, "What's your problem?" He explained "296" tickets to "69" tickets is just "laziness." I said nothing. With 20 years of international policing experience at the time, anti-terrorism, covert ops, homicide, surveillance, SVU etc he put me on a "development plan," to ensure my "workflow improved." * In fact, I made Inspector in the @metpolice before he made Sgt in @hamiltonpolice. At the end of every shift, in my own time I had to wait for the SSgt to finish parade, and check off all my tickets. Like a fucking probationer. Demoralizing? Yes, but intentional so. Looking back Hamilton Police managers are the biggest set of cowardly bullies I've ever met in my policing career. Anyway. I digress. What Im getting at, ticket quotas are bad for community policing. They turn policing into a numbers game. Officers chase easy tickets instead of reducing real risk, while discretion and judgment get replaced by “just charge, don’t think for yourself.” Discretion, an important officer tool is also side lined. Quotas erode public trust, distort enforcement, pressure officers internally, and expose agencies to legal risk by prioritizing targets over fairness and evidence-based policing. And there's zero evidence traffic quotas make City roads any safer. They just make the City richer. You know what's worse that quotas for public trust. Repeatedly lying to the public. And just imagine with what you just read, being a cop in Hamilton. It's a hard city to work, add to that the internal bullying from management, would make it almost unbearable for most. And that 'internal bullying' almost certainly affects the way officers deal with the public at large. So if a Police Chief tells you "we don't have quotas," or "we are going to be more transparent in the future," please take that with a pinch of salt. Because in my experience the version of events often given by senior management to the public differs greatly from the truth. #onpoli #cdnpoli #police

Toronto Police Association
The Toronto Police Association fundamentally opposes the Solicitor General’s plan for the OPP to take over some policing in Toronto. This includes traffic safety on our major arterial routes and Mounted and Marine functions at Ontario Place and along its waterfront.   We believe this is a gross overreach which will develop a fragmented system, hurting both the city and our members.   Our official position and specific requests are outlined in the attached correspondence.

@mobinfiltrator Gross overreach into members jurisdiction? Give it up FFS. Sworn police officers anywhere in Ontario have the authority to enforce federal and provincial laws anywhere in Ontario ! By-Laws are the exception. TPA needs to lay off the BS and be thankful the O Dots have it now.

OPP opening new detachment, in Tor-o-no. The #Toronto Police Association calling it a “gross overreach” into its members’ jurisdiction. “We believe this move will inevitably fragment the delivery of traffic enforcement and general policing services, increasing stress for commuters and posing a potential risk to public safety,” association president Clayton Campbell wrote in a statement. It's literally like when one Mafia family encroaches on the territory of another. #onpoli #cdnpoli
