Climate colonialists are preaching solar panels and wind turbines while they scramble for our African oil! We don't need your intermittent electricity. We want reliable dense & versatile energy from our rich Africa. Africa says no to neocolonialism disguised as environmentalism
António Guterres@antonioguterres

Africa holds 60% of the world's best solar potential & receives only 2% of global clean energy investment. With the right finance, the continent could generate 10 times more electricity than it needs by 2040 – entirely from renewables. Africa must be at the centre of climate justice.

@the_salty_one_ Misleading. Women, whether muslim or not, want women only times (e.g. 2 hrs/wk) cos some men harass women. Of course muslim women for religious reasons cannot mix with men, that includes men who say they r women. Chch pools lets men who say they r women in to the women's time.

Why wasn't this made into a mini series? Muslims force councils across the country to segregate public pools, then threats get made to a trans woman attending. You couldn't make this shit up.

Piers Morgan has blocked me so I cant respond. But firstly, you were talking over Rachel about women’s rights which shows this isn’t about fighting patriarchy. Secondly, civil rights isn’t about going with the bots or loudest voice, it’s about doing what’s right. Thirdly, I am a trained nurse, I have a deep understanding of biology, what’s your qualifications Piers?

@ajthompson13 @matt_horncastle Ive never looked into it, but Im intrigued at how these countries that have no income tax, seem to have a lot of other amenities. Does that simply mean higher standard of living and therefore great consumer tax income?

@matt_horncastle I agree but why tax low incomes at all? The CoL is about $48k per person. It’s all spent so 15% GST is paid on it. Making $36k income tax-free would require a flat tax rate of approximately 30%- 35% on all income above that threshold to maintain current revenue levels.

No vote from the public, but a vote on your council? That’s the reality in some New Zealand councils right now. Minister Simon Watts has acknowledged the problem. Cameron Luxton has drafted a solution. The only thing missing is political action. If you weren’t elected by the public, you shouldn’t have voting power over the public. Tell the Minister before it’s too late: hobsonspledge.nz/protect_local_…

@JoeM_NZ @aniobrien Well, I mean, this was one of my arguments against working for families - it further distorts the labour market. Just a bit, but its still there. If people weren't earning enough at one job, they'd generally move to another better paid.

@martinhector1 @PronouncedHare I think if Labour gets even 1 more vote than National he will use the "Democracy in action - biggest party" line tha he has used before - even though he didn't do that with Bill English.

Rape Gang Inquiry update. Our team is currently going through our draft report to ensure that all is legally sound for publication. The plan is straightforward. I intend to use parliamentary privilege in the chamber to name a number of the worst perpetrators/officials who we believe have escaped justice. We will then use private prosecutions to pursue those individuals through the courts, and eventually put them in prison. These are incredibly dangerous scumbags. It is an national network of organised crime - it is not simply disparate gangs. This is a comprehensive criminal network that is capable of the most evil acts. I will be informing the police, parliamentary security and the Home Office beforehand of who I intend to name and why - I also now have private security for the first time in my life. But do not underestimate the danger of these networks. It is organised crime of the very worst kind. We started this inquiry not to just talk, but to act. The report will be published after the elections as I want this to be a cross-party effort, and party politics should not interfere with any of our activity. Numerous Conservative MPs have been supportive, as have the Northern Irish and even a Labour MP attending the hearings. I want this to go beyond petty party politics. We still have a significant amount of money from the crowdfunder, and that is ready to privately prosecute. This is where we are. This is the plan. Thank you to everybody for your support.

Historian Bill Federer: "By 2030, there will be a majority Muslim population in Europe, and they’ll just flat out vote in Sharia law. People forget Egypt was completely Christian for 6 centuries. It's not anymore. All of North Africa was completely Christian for 6 centuries. It's not anymore. Constantinople was the largest Christian city in the world, and the largest Christian church in the world for hundreds of years was the Hagia Sophia. And it was turned into a mosque. They want to do the same thing with the Vatican." Pay attention to what he’s saying!

The NZ Herald has published the story of a young Covid jab casualty today: Ashley Beulink who is diagnosed with vaccine-induced pericarditis, and one of the 1740 successful ACC claims for vaccine-related injuries. Her mother told Derek Cheng: “It does make me angry. It took a real toll, on Ashley’s health and my mental health as a parent, and it could’ve been avoided.” “I personally don’t think they were justified in including that 12 to 17 age group in the vaccine passes. The Government wasn’t transparent with that information. I believe they were just more concerned about getting their vaccination rates up.” Cheng also interviewed Professor Peter McIntyre of the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 Vaccine Technical Advisory Group, who acknowledges: "It wasn’t just 12- to 17-year-olds who might have been in some kind of paid employment [and affected by workforce mandates]. We were hearing reports of children being denied participation in sport – that kind of thing." “In that environment, my memory of the views on the CV Tag is: ‘Although the vaccine is safe and effective, a mandatory two dose-approach is not appropriate for 12- to 17-year-olds, because if otherwise healthy they are at low risk of severe illness from Covid, and there is some suggestive evidence that the low risk of myocarditis and pericarditis may be higher in younger age groups, especially boys, and following the second dose’.” “I personally think it’s unequivocal that the vaccine requirements were a bad idea. And it’s absolutely 100% gold-plated that they were a bad idea for 12- to 17-year-olds. To justify that, you need really good evidence. Was that evidence there? That it was going to increase coverage to the level that was going to provide significant additional community protection? No." “The predictable harm to social interaction and educational opportunity from exclusion of this age group far outweighed any uncertain benefits to individuals in this age group or the community." Thanks to Derek Cheng and NZ Herald #thetributeNZ nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/it…
