i've worked hard to get my entire test suite to run in under a *quarter of a second*. most developers aren't willing to do what it takes to get to that level of performance. in my case, have only four tests.

Ford had to recall some F-150 Lightnings due to a battery issue. Remarkably, they could narrow the recall down to exactly 18 affected vehicles. The wonders of modern manufacturing and supply chain documentation.

@jamison_dance I use context to build state and behavior around a particular slice of functionality. The context gets its own hooks which define the interactions with that state. TLDR: keep it small and focused

If you use context to manage state in React, how do you avoid it becoming a mess? Easily broken by moving components around the tree, spooky action at a distance, etc. Am I missing something?

@brian_d_vaughn Late reply here. Get an adjustable bed base with legs and head up a bit or just a pillow under the thighs at night… I deal with this and that has solved my issue

1 in 7 Boston moms said they allow their 2 year olds to drink up to half a cup of coffee per day. Either this study was severely flawed, or Boston has a lot of extremely energetic toddlers.

@AGoldmund You are probably getting a lot of this, but as some rando, I really respect you and the things you create. Keep it up

The pandemic forced a lot of rapid changes in the economy, but many changes aren't as sticky as we thought. This graph shows the sharp increase in e-commerce transactions at the start of the pandemic, then a steady return to the trendline. Almost back to normal.

Hey @marcoarment, you talk about using playlists in overcast… but I don’t actually understand what you do? Do you just combine a few shows into one list? Or lists for different activities? Subjects? What is your system?

@chrisdotio @t3dotgg In this specific case: services should be broken up in a way that teams can work on their service independently and (typically) no further. A team owning 3 highly-coordinated services is just wasting time compared to owning 1 service, but 2+ teams sharing a service is also bad.

@Mikbre @tapbot_paul I think that they are pointing out that an Apple store dev cannot even reimburse or refund a customer without begging Apple to help. Apple injects themselves as a wall between you and your customers
