The fact that trans women are correctly gendered in the context of sexual assault says everything. In moments when the reality of gendered violence cannot be ignored, their womanhood is suddenly undeniable. That selective acknowledgment is proof in itself: trans women are women.

@ThomasWillett9 Oh my @ThomasWillett9 you are so repetitively boring. Of course trans people exist. Bev makes no attempt to deny that. Their existence is quite separate from a set of authoritarian and ideological beliefs (held by some trans people and some non trans people)

Trans people exist. Fact. To deny this is to deny reality.
Framing trans identities as an ideology or religion is a deliberate tactic to dehumanise them, making it easier to justify stripping away their rights.
The same was once said about LGB people that it was a “choice”.
