There are multiple issues with this post. One, this is not a rescue fare. A rescue fare is a one-way ticket for someone that is currently in the middle of a round-trip, but had their return flight canceled. This is the price for a complete round-trip. Two, American was not one of the airlines specified that are providing rescue fares. Those were Delta, United, and Southwest. Three, you are booking a trip three days before the departure. The fares get more expensive as more people book the flight and the number of available seats decreases.

Wow!!! My family of 7 was supposed to fly on Spirit to Miami for $597.48 total. The @AmericanAir rescue fares are almost 10x that!!! @SecDuffy how is the average American family supposed to travel?#pricegouging

This will be epic. I frequent Ballston and always use the Metro and having an entrance closer to the mall and a lot of the attractions will make a huge difference.

@qwackcat @maxhietpas_ I like everything about them but the multi network add on. The second line gets throttled after a combined 100 GB of data are used on both lines, including hotspot data. I don’t like that. I think if you have multiple carriers, it is still better to get them separately.

That is not what happened. The train was likely in ATO and sometimes it will glitch causing an overrun. And once a train overruns a station by just a single door, the operator cannot service it. Trains cannot reverse. Waving it down didn’t do anything. And the operator stopped the train to report the overrun and switch modes before continuing. This was not caused by the operator just not seeing you or not wanting to service your stop.

@Metrorailinfo Yes but it only stopped cause people were waving it down. It stopped with two cars left. Waited for people to run down and still didn’t open the doors. Unacceptable

Indeed. Their customer service is fantastic and the app is designed well and intuitive. I think they have the best premium plan in all of prepaid wireless now that it is truly unlimited. If only the starter plan was uncapped on all networks at just a lower priority - they would be a monopoly in prepaid wireless.

@wmata Thank you so much for the more informative and update announcements on Metrobus Info. I have been waiting for this for a long time and have recommended it in the past. Knowing the source of delays and then they are over is invaluable. I hope more people have noticed this. Please don’t stop.

I have hiked McAfee Knob many times and it is truly a favorite. The view at the top is stunning. The additional parking is much needed, the current lot is very small and many people have to park on nearby side roads and walk. And I don’t remember there being restrooms at all, so that is a huge improvement. Can’t wait to see these plans go into action.

Shouldn’t touch what has to be click bait…btw Metro 🚇🚌 & bikes DC is very livable w/o a car and an incredible city to live. I love NYC but DC has so much to offer too and proud that Metro is the backbone of making our city and region easy to get around.

My sentiment exactly. Claude has such low usage limits. I can use ChatGPT all day for intense tasks and continue using it on Plus. I would be locked out of Claude a quarter of the way into my conversation. ChatGPT has also been very helpful recently. The new models have helped.

@wave7jeff What are your thoughts about the new $30 BYOD plan from Metro by T-Mobile? How do you think it compares to Mint’s unlimited offering and will it cause any price changes on that? Mint does offer 10 GB more hotspot…but most people probably don’t care about that.

@maxhietpas_ This is going to be HUGE and will become highly popular. Very innovative from ATT, especially for their budget-conscious consumers. For customers that have connected devices, this is a phenomenal value. Though I don’t like that the plan doesn’t come with any hotspot data.

AT&T just launched OneConnect, a new type of plan that combines wireless, lines for other cellular devices, and fiber internet in one monthly price. Pretty cool!
