✨ I was getting tired from walking so much around the battlefield so I asked what they actually use in Ukraine to get around and it turns out a lot of 🏎️💨 ATV quads So I added them, one spawns near your team's base, and you can even drive into enemies And for now shooting works too (but that's a bit unrealistic 😝)
@levelsio@levelsio

Added voice messages now, and AI players also send them, and you can hear your enemy radio (in their language), and your own radio in English so you know what's going on Some things I still need to do are add weed and brush etc to make the terrain more real and rigged soldier animations (still didn't get that working)

@InOneProjects @DannyLimanseta I am starting to think mid to big files might be better for agentic coding. The more you break things down the more it confused or has the agent do thinking to figure out the codebase in subsequent prompts. Would love to hear others experiences!

I'm actually quite shocked at how well the various features are made modular in the file system with descriptive names for exactly the events or objects they represent. Like I've seen others comment, the huge files are the first places that really stand out - as a human, attempting to approach a file that size is a nightmare and so we tend to "abstract out" layers into helper classes/functions that live behind names that describe the thing being done. As an example, the Game.tick method is a massive string of conditional statements looking at game state to determine which pieces to run - from an organization perspective this is easier to parse (and likely will help keep your LLM's context cleaner) if they're abstracted out into helpers so instead of reading ----- if (campsite related stuff) { do x do y do z } if (moon impact related stuff) { do more stuff and more and more } ----- You just read ----- handleCampsitePhase(gameState); handleMoonImpact(gameState): ----- Have your agent do a check for "cyclomatic complexity" and try to bring the number down.

I have open-sourced the entire codebase for Tiny Skies. You can see all the commits (100% commited by Cursor), right from the 1st day of the #Vibejam competition. If you know coding, I'd love to seek your expertise to take a look at the code to see how "messy" it is. I've always been very curious about how good/bad agentic coding is these days. So open-sourcing it will hopefully answer that question for me and whoever is curious. Github repo here: github.com/dannylimanseta…

ok after 3 weeks of vibing, coding, generating - ITS SUBMITTED! ✅🎉 🆙 UP! with a stranger - the first co-op game made for strangers! You are matched to a random person on the internet and play as 2 plasticine blobs tied by a string, from your backyard to space and beyond. The only rule: don't let the string break! ⬇️💀 Spent the last days testing a lot with real friends, to stress the sync, taps, pings, performance and all edge cases. Turns out, making multiplayer games is a lot harder than i though. Coming from an art director background my original intention was trying to find out if AI-built work could feel like it wasn't. Full of charm, weird little details and love. 🤖❤️ On the way i learned a LOT about pings, fps, Khz, heap, and what not. I ended up with so many nanobanana assets that it feels like i can build another 10 games, and sounds for another 20! Only a tiny fraction made it finally to the game, and it could be less maybe 😅 First game I've ever shipped! 99% vibe coded! Dumb by design! Go play it here, and claim your spot in that beautiful plasticine world: 🙌 upwithastranger.com Made to work in desktop and even more natural in mobile (📱!) I use @cursor_ai to navigate through my codebase and tweak little things, @claudeai and Codex for more complex stuff, @threejs as main core and some @tripoai for 3d objects. First 4 minutes of gameplay below ⬇️ #gamedev #vibejam @levelsio 🟣🟤

@denisbondare I filter by 100+ participants on itch. Talked to a few people about making gamejam/find team specific web. No $ tho as most jammers are hobbyists/kids/cheap. Down to chat if ya want to tackle over one weekend.

By the way, for newcoming #vibejam gamedevs: there are a TON of game jams every month. You can check them all on the itch io site. I gotta say, it's pretty painful to navigate their jam catalogue, so if anyone knows a better place to search for jams, get notified, etc., lmk

@MaybeGrt well I've been liking a lot of gamedev stuff recently, but I've never liked any video of people dying before and still, X thought that that was something I absolutely adore for some reason :D

9/ Lastly, the hardest part making an AI agent for Godot isn't building it. It's marketing it. People love using Ziva and always tell their friends, but it took us a long time to get to where we are now. If you want a side gig marketing Ziva, shoot me a DM!

It's out! My horror ASCII story is now live: haldane4.denisbondare.com 7 days. 6–12 hours a day. 158 commits. 99% vibe-coded video game. 10–15 minute playthrough. Under 5Mb. Custom engine. Text graphics. Procedural levels and audio. No assets, except for a voice-over made with @ElevenLabs. Code written by @claudeai , with @cursor_ai as IDE and for quick fixes. The constraints - size limit, no assets, text-only graphics, procedural everything - were all self-imposed, just for fun. I wanted to push them as far as they could go while still telling a story and creating something that looks and sounds intriguing. A huge thanks to @levelsio for the challenge! The #vibejam is an incredible way to see what AI is capable of right now. Feedback is very welcome, I'd love to know what the game feels like for someone who hasn't been staring at it all week😄

My little horror game Haldane-4 about a solo descent beneath the Antarctic ice shelf is 99% ready. Tomorrow it'll be available to play online for free. #vibejam

generating ~80 meshes with textures per hour on x4 gpu cluster of 3060 cards for $0.28/h - rented from vastAI. cost per mesh = $.0035 build the generative pipeline in house you are getting absolutely scammed through the APIs.
