@kbs924 @MarioNawfal The biggest town they captured was bakhmut, years ago. It only had 80,000 people in it. They haven't captured fuck all except marsh, and they are being driven back on every front. They're done.

A conductor knocked a $1.3 million 18th-century violin out of a musician's hands mid-concert in Finland. The violin is fine, but the conductor's heart rate probably isn't.

@MerlijnTrader You don’t get it. The whole thing is built on trust that they’ll be punished. People will abstain if they know they have too low a chance to win and that will cause the markets to shrink.

MASSIVE: 🇺🇸 The BBC just validated everything we've been saying. A clear pattern of trades right before major Trump announcements. Iran war. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. We tracked a whale for weeks. 0 losses. 11 wins. 100% win rate. You would go to prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. They front-run war decisions with billion dollar bets. Now the BBC has the receipts. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. The game is rigged. And now the world knows it.

UNREAL: 🇺🇸 The Trump insider is already up $1,000,000 on his oil short. 10 trades became 11. 10 wins became 11. 100% win rate. Unchanged. This is not a coincidence anymore. This is a pattern that cannot be explained by skill alone. Someone in a very important room keeps picking up the phone. And nobody is stopping them.

i work full time in westminster and have a masters degree from cambridge, but i still claim universal credit. if rent controls were a thing, i wouldn’t be spending 75% of my salary on my rent and i wouldn’t have to claim housing benefit to afford to live 🏡
Anthony O'Neill@AnthonyAinsdale

1 in 8 brits are now on universal credit. This is crazy. It's not sustainable. Time for some tough love to get people self reliant again.

@chlveh @ryansrugby I work minimum wage. I spend less the only 50% of my wage and it cover everything. Mortgage, food for me, my wife and two kids, fuel etc. With enough left over to save. You're doing it wrong

@RealRayBland @GreenTextRepost @ShadyIndividu4l If you can do 5 miles in 2 minutes then you need to compete. If you missed the 0 off of 20. Then yeah 20 on minute flat, about 30 up hill. I think the average person is put off of a 30 minute slog up hill especially if they have the option of 5 minutes in a car.

@simonlevans @WoolcockBrian Because its a belief held mostly by children. But most people grow up and realise that you are rewarded for risk. Zach will cause a gilt crisis which will lead to the destruction of the NHS and most public services being chronically underfunded. Its gonna be cool to watch

@WoolcockBrian It’s funny isn’t it. The infantilisation of people whose politics isn’t to give the very wealthy everything and leave the rest of us struggling. I wonder why that is.

The Greens have got the whole of the old school rightwing really rattled. Why is that? Because the country could vote away their centuries old privilege. And there’s no one on the Green Party they can capture with their bribes. It’s called integrity.
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski

This is why Daily Mail journalists are going after my family now. The right wing propaganda machine will not work on the Green Party. We're ready to end Rip Off Britain, end the cost of living crisis and make hope normal again.

Another day, another UK economics speech. I can't say that I found much to agree with in the Zack Polanski speech - although full credit to him for laying out his thinking (that is always worthy of praise). His anti- abundance agenda involves capping prices (rents, electricity generation, utilities) assuming that the supply side is inelastic. Alongside raising a whole range of capital taxes (NI on investments, CGT=Income Tax (no inflation allowance), & a new HNW tax) whilst assuming those individuals impacted are also inelastic in residency/tax jurisdiction. The anti-AI stuff (data centres/ legacy jobs) was also incoherent. This type of model only works in the event of extensive capital controls/ high exit barriers for people (in contrast to more permissive entry criteria!). I would judge that GBP & Gilt markets would react exceedingly negatively to this ever seeing the light of day - squeezing UK living standards very significantly.
