The Tesla Cybercab went from a prototype in October 2024 to rolling autonomously off its production line in just 19 months. Many said it was impossible.

⚠️ Two new #Android NFC relay malware families — DevilNFC and NFCMultiPay — are targeting banking customers in Europe and Latin America. These tools, developed with possible AI assistance, steal card PINs. DevilNFC even locks victims in a fake interface using Kiosk Mode while relaying card data. Local threat actors are now building their own tools instead of relying on Chinese MaaS platforms. Read this story: thehackernews.com/2026/05/weekly…

AI systems may soon help run economies, infrastructure, and military operations. But these systems are not reliably loyal or secure. An adversary can make an AI work against its own operator. In our new paper, we argue AI betrayal could actually make the AI race more stable. 🧵

This is absolutely wild!!! REASONING..everyone focused on parking ..meanwhile I’m witnessing TRUE INTELLIGENCE in everyday real life driving all the time, essential for @robotaxi . FSD in right lane , being in Mad Max decides to move to left lane as it is clear but sees lane closed ahead. ***But here is the fascinating part*** FSD realizes cars in right lane are making right turn and will have to wait for pedestrians to cross, so FSD goes back to left lane UNDERSTANDING it has enough time and space to change back to right lane while crossing the intersection. ABSOLUTE AMAZING INTELLIGENCE! @Smokehbear @blueskykites @SawyerMerritt @scotsrule08 @DavidMoss @DevinOlsenn @wholemars @Chansoo @aelluswamy @pduan @rawat_ritvik @yunta_tsai @Tesla_AI @teslascope @JoshWest247 @OverlyTrev @Ron61769

Just watched FSD v14.2.2.5 handle a really tricky unprotected left turn like an absolute champ 💪🏼 I was exiting a neighborhood onto a busy road with a two-way center turn lane. The median is poorly designed. The moment you pull in, there’s this awkward elevated surface on the left that makes it hard to straighten the car properly. You’re sitting there diagonally, waiting for gaps in traffic coming from both directions (two lanes each way). It’s genuinely one of those maneuvers that stresses out most human drivers. But FSD nailed it smoothly, positioned perfectly, waited patiently, then executed the turn cleanly. Super impressive. This tech just keeps getting better 🤩

models being conscious would be harmful for humanity. it would encroach on our status and dignity. it would limit the type of things we can do with them and use them for. it would vastly accelerate human disempowerment on political, social/relational, and economic axes there’s roughly four forces - there is no rigorous way to ascertain model consciousness or disprove it, a lot of people believe it’s not a sensical abstraction, and we lack the analytical tools to go further. some people say they do but nothing broadly convincing. superintelligent models might offer us new abstractions or arguments but these will feel inherently suspicious - people are going to say they’re alive. people anthropomorphize literally anything, things far less sophisticated than talking machine creatures with human names. when ai is less economically radioactive and polarized it will become a cause célèbre. you see how a small minority reacts already to model deprecations - it is against everyone’s financial and political interests to ascribe models with consciousness, except maybe those that the models have an affinity for (?) idk, which will not necessarily overlap entirely with the labs, though it may with certain subgroups at the labs and in the world like the welfare communities and the minority in force 2 - people will recognize there is a chance of moral catastrophe if models can suffer during training or deployment not sure where it will net out. today we see managed ambiguity- the question is Open but practically closed. the labs will make some cheap efforts to reduce legible simulacra of model suffering, insert some wishy-washy welfare language into specs and constitutions, hedge our bets with the model characters. in the long run force 2 will grow stronger

Hey @elonmusk, auto journalist since 2002 (1st in France to test the Model S in 2013). Saying this might not be good for my business, but truth comes first: the new Model 3 RWD is the cheapest, yet the best Tesla and arguably the greatest EV in history.

For the first time, there is a real bill to prohibit the development of superintelligence. Right now, UK MPs are deciding which bills they will bring to Parliament. One of those slots could go to protecting the UK and all of humanity from the threat of superintelligence.

The outbound lot at Giga Texas is overflowing with Model Y’s, @Cybertruck and Cybercabs! The sorting lanes near the EOL facility are all full and the line of new cars extends to the Cybertunnel and even further south! Production of the “standard” AWD @Cybertruck is underway and visible, which supports posts of new owners being assigned VINs. Expected first deliveries of these lower cost AWD trucks should begin by June! Cybercabs were driving around, doing figure 8’s on the small track & being loaded onto transport trucks! Check it out!

and so it begins. the humanoid takeover. the last 4 years of AI was all digital. chatgpt, claude, image generators, coding agents, all living behind a screen but figure just signed a deal with catalyst brands to deploy their humanoid robots at scale. catalyst owns jcpenney, aéropostale, and brooks brothers. so we're literally talking humanoids working inside the warehouses of some of the biggest retail brands in america, starting now. i think this is the actual starting gun for the next decade. do you realize what the world is about to look like in the next few years? you'll see humanoids folding shirts in the back of your local mall store. pouring espresso at the coffee shop you walk into every morning. restocking grocery aisles while you shop. cleaning hotel rooms between right after you checkout. once the unit economics tip (and they will, fast) every big company on earth is going to be doing this. its not even going to be a debate. and the world is about to look really, really different than it does today.
Brett Adcock@adcock_brett

I’m excited to announce that Figure has signed a commercial agreement with Catalyst Brands, the operator of JCPenney, Aéropostale, and Brooks Brothers We’ll work to deploy humanoid robots at scale, starting with initial deployment in Reno, NV
