LIVE DAY ONE #APCCCDiagnostics25 in Lugano🇨🇭 Dr. Gerhardt Attard 🇬🇧 discussing Molecular tests at diagnosis for risk stratification Molecular testing at diagnosis highlights the clinical value of tumor DNA sequencing for drug selection in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), with potential to influence treatment decisions earlier. Germline BRCA testing is recommended for high-risk and M1 patients, and can be combined with tumor testing. mRNA profiling currently outperforms clinical features and genomics in predicting metastasis and survival, while circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) shows limited diagnostic utility. The added benefit of integrating molecular tests with novel imaging remains uncertain, and collaboration with European payers is needed to support Simon's level 1B evidence.
