On Tuesday in Washington, D.C., Minister of Minerals Dr. Hassan Kibeya signed two historic mining agreements with the U.S. private sector. The first agreement, with @LifezoneMetals, will lead to the development of a world-class nickel mine in #Burundi, which will create jobs and increase the country’s exports. The second agreement, with @KoBold_Metals, will permit the company to—at no cost—digitize Burundi’s mining records, which will promote transparency and investment in the sector. @Nespoint applauds these terrific examples of how trade and investment between the U.S. and Burundi benefit both countries! Well done @BoscoBarege1 and @BurundiEmbUSA!

It was a pleasure to visit #Philadelphia, #Pennsylvania, where I had the opportunity to meet with Thomas Young, CEO of the World Trade Center of Greater #Philadelphia. We had a productive discussion about strengthening bilateral trade between the United States and #Burundi, and how #Burundi can participate in the upcoming global summit in #Philadelphia this April, which will bring together leaders from more than 300 World Trade Centers from around the world. In the evening, I had the privilege of meeting with business and civic leaders from the Rotary Club of Philadelphia. With a history spanning more than 115 years, Philadelphia’s Rotary Club is one of the oldest in the world and continues to play an important role in advancing service and international partnership. Our conversation focused on opportunities to further support the work of our partners at Amazi Water and how Rotary Clubs in the United States can help us advance our shared goal of bringing clean water to every community in #Burundi. My sincere thanks to Dennis Mahoney, Distinguished Fellow at the University of #Pennsylvania and business leader for hosting and helping convene such meaningful conversations that strengthen the ties between our communities.

Today, President @realDonaldTrump ’s nominee for Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs @AsstSecStateAF, Frank Garcia, appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and laid out a clear vision grounded in strength, partnership, and American interests. His testimony emphasized a disciplined U.S. engagement with #Africa built on trade, investment, security cooperation, and accountability, including continued support for the Washington Accords for Peace and Prosperity between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and #Rwanda. I look forward to working with Mr. Garcia once he is confirmed by the Senate. The moment demands serious leadership and strong partnerships between the United States and African nations. I am confident that under his leadership, the Bureau of African Affairs will help advance a more stable, prosperous, and secure future for both Africa and the United States. — Dr. Karl Von Batten

Here's a draft for your X post: "Feeling grateful to be safe here in the United States, but my heart and prayers are with the US and allied forces as they embark on the crucial mission of liberating Iran. I’m also thinking of the Iranian people during this pivotal moment in their journey toward freedom. 🙏

The Grand Chancellor’s visit to Kenya powerfully reaffirmed Africa’s central place in the @orderofmalta humanitarian mission. His engagement with authorities, partners and refugee communities underscored the importance of linking diplomatic dialogue with action on the ground. I thank the Grand Chancellor for his attention to Africa’s priorities and congratulate H.E. Ambassador Wilhelm von Trott zu Solz on a highly successful mission that strengthened our partnerships and impact on the continent.
