💥Great news for safer walking & cycling in West London💥 @LBHF have confirmed backing for C34 from Wood Lane to Holland Park Roundabout, via Shepherds Bush Green 🚲🚶‍♀️ And we're working together on Cycleway 9 from Hammersmith Broadway to Olympia 💚 lbhf.gov.uk/news/2026/03/h…

@LondonW12 @willnorman Looks like another collision on Holland Park Roundabout today. When will this dangerous roundabout be fixed with safe cycle lanes?

@willnorman Well done. Now time to fix Holland Park Roundabout, another officially-rated dangerous junction.

Lambeth Bridge N&S used to be one of the most dangerous junctions in London. We're transforming it - making it safer for everyone. I'm delighted the carriageway has now reopened to two-way traffic - with new protected cycle lanes both side (with anti-terrorism protection) 🚲

@OpenChiswickW4 @willnorman @StephenCowan @LBHF @RBKC I don’t think this can be right as I understand that @LBHF has been committed since 2021 to build this cycle lane with funding specifically earmarked for construction. It’s a naturally continuation of the King Street cycle lane and would bring much needed protection.

@willnorman @StephenCowan I didn’t get the memo that Cycleway 9 was being removed outside Olympia. WTAF? Has @LBHF outsourced transport policy to @RBKC over the summer? Is David Tarsh the new cabinet member with responsibility for cycling?

Every day there are now over 1,330,000 cycling journeys in London. We're working with boroughs across London to further grow our Cycleway network so even more people can benefit from cycling. Great to see the network in @lambeth_council has grown by 60%🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲

Breaking ground on London’s newest Cycleway - C34 from Wood Lane to Shepherd’s Bush Green (and then planned to go across Holland Park Roundabout). We’ve expanded London’s Cycleway network to over 400km & the no. of daily journeys has grown to over 1.3m 🚲🚲 #LondonLovesCycling

A school in Hammersmith has had to take matters into its own hands to block a road outside the school gates after an elderly gentleman was knocked over by a reversing van in front of children this week. Ravenscourt Av. The school has lobbied for a school street for years.

There is absolutely nothing the bike-haters of Kensington and Chelsea can do about the plans for improved safety for walking and cycling at the Holland Park Roundabout. Scheme designed by TfL with support of @lbhf and local MPs. Danny Lidgate and David Trash can go swivel 🖕

Small announcement. I’m stopping my cycling videos. The trolling just got too bad. They have had well over 100 million views but in the end the anger they generate has genuinely upset me.

The City of London is experiencing the Copenhagen effect. Reallocate road space away from motor vehicles (Bishopsgate, Bank, Lime St, numerous modal filters, one ways with cycle counter flows) and you get meaningful modal shift. A wake up call for the rest of London

@OxoDog51N14W @OldLondonW14 @RBKC @TfL Thanks - we’re not on twitter much these days but happy to have a friendly exchange like this ! It is indeed a little insane (with alas some real life consequences - Christina Kong was killed on a part of the route that was delayed because of @rbkc actions)

A weird thing happened after Hammersmith Bridge was closed to vehicles — the traffic count on the neighbouring bridges (Kew, Putney, Chiswick) actually FELL. As a result, reopening the bridge to motor vehicles will never happen. Meanwhile, rejoicing:
OpenChiswick@OpenChiswickW4

Cycling across Hammersmith Bridge in the space that used to carry over 20,000 cars per day is never going to get old.

@CemKemahli @LBHF This kind of historic reference misses the mark and distracts from what we need in @RBKC : investment in efficient, safe, and active transport infrastructure
