@DPJHodges And you've spent how many days using this tragedy to attack Reform? No matter what they did, you would have attacked them. But you're head is that cabbaged up with left wing idealogy you can't acknowledge that.

The police ask Reform not to speculate. So Reform attack them. The family ask. So they start to attack them. Close friends ask. They in turn get attacked. Journalists report this. Then they get attacked too. This is how desperate Reform now are to deflect from Farage and sleaze.

@TwoTierTruth Keir Starmer turned up at Southport for a 10 second photo opp. And Dan has the audacity to criticise Farage for paying respects to his colleague and friend @DPJHodges is politicising the hell out of all this for his anti Reform agenda

Dan, spare us the pious concern trolling. Ann Widdecombe was a close friend and ally of Nigel Farage she backed him publicly right up to her final interview. A grieving colleague turning up to pay respects and speak at a memorial isn’t hijacking her death for propaganda is it. It’s basic decency. Your anonymous highly placed source from the Mail on Sunday (conveniently unnamed, as always) claiming the family is uneasy doesn’t override that. Her family doesn’t get veto power over how her friends or political allies mourn her. Farage called it what it looked like to him premeditated. Attacking him for caring about a murdered friend while she’s barely cold is the real ghoulish opportunism here.
(((Dan Hodges)))@DPJHodges

"The Mail on Sunday reported that a “highly placed source” had told the paper Widdecombe’s family “don’t want her death hijacked for political purposes”, and were “very uneasy” about Farage attending the scene of the investigation".

@campbellclaret I can't see any nice tributes or retweets of nice tributes to Ann Widdecombe from you?? And you accuse others of speculative performance. Your timeline shows your true agenda.

This is worth a read if people genuinely care about the murder inquiry of Ann Widdecombe - as opposed to those who want to use for performative spectacle or to spread their conspiracy theories or both
Dennis Noel Kavanagh@Jebadoo2

1/ As someone who has been in a few murder trials let me just try to explain why the police always ask people not to speculate, (with the caveat that I understand everyone is justifiably angry, saddened and horrified). Murder investigations and trials are very fragile things.

@campbellclaret Says the person who can't see he's using it as a performative spectacle. Although you can see that, you just can't stop spinning everything to suit your own agenda.

@NatalieFleetMP It's clear Reform have been deliberately targeted by politicians and the MSM in the last couple of weeks, with faux outrage at any story you can drum up. It's as though you're all working together. Why don't you scrutinise the unelected, no mandate, incoming PM in the same way?

@DPJHodges What's the agenda of the constant attacks on Reform and Farage lately? Even continuing it at this sad time, after one of their people has been murdered.

They’re not stopping. Even after the police specifically asked them to stop because it is unhelpful to their ongoing investigation. So again, ask yourself why. What is Reform’s real agenda.
Darren Grimes@darrengrimes

Sorry, I’m a little lost here. Why would someone from South Yorkshire end up at a specific property in Dartmoor 270+ miles away by sheer coincidence? But they seem to tell us with absolute certainty that there’s no political motivation.

@KarlTurnerMP I actually used to believe that out of all the Labour MP's whose competencies, morals and ethics are questionable, you were one of the better ones. This tweet changed that. You are indirectly doing what you are accusing Farage of (which is unproven).

@KarlTurnerMP 'If true', so maybe refrain from commenting. There's been enough targeted negative media against Farage and Reform in the last few weeks. I'd suggest now is not the time to continue it, especially on such a sad topic as Ann's death.

Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, says that passengers on the Titanic actually didn’t want to leave the ship for almost two hours after it hit the iceberg. Pavel Durov says we are in a similar situation: our ship has already hit the iceberg. We have already started to sink without even realizing it. He is talking about the ship of our personal freedoms. He says that personal freedoms have been eroded almost everywhere in the world, with very few exceptions. He has witnessed firsthand the methods governments use to suppress our freedoms and take away our basic rights. He has seen all the tricks: the PR tricks, the legal tricks, the political tricks, the manipulations, and the official excuses. The thing that bothers him most today is that some of the same tricks employed by authoritarian regimes in places like Russia, China, and Iran are now also being used in some Western countries. ————— Here are some key statements from Pavel Durov: “Thousands of people are getting arrested every year in the United Kingdom for social media posts.” “You say something politically incorrect online, you may end up being fined or spend some time in prison. In Germany, people get arrested and persecuted for insulting politicians online, thousands of people every year.” “You call a politician a bigot or a thief online and you can serve up to 3 years in prison. So, now people are afraid to use their real identities. People stop using their real names when they make comments online.” “The criminals will be fine. It will be the law-abiding citizens who will be put in danger.” “Last year, a French tax official was caught stealing the financial data of people who held large amount of crypto assets… you have a catastrophic rise in the number of kidnappings in France. Just in the first 3 months of 2026, you have over 40 victims of kidnappings in France.” “Another trick that has been used by authoritarians for decades. And now it is being increasingly exported from the East to the West. I’m talking about selective enforcement of laws. The way it works is pretty straightforward. First, you need to introduce a large number of laws. You need to overburden a certain industry with excessive, mutually exclusive, contradictory regulation. As a result, you make compliance impossible. Now you can treat every entrepreneur, every CEO, every business owner in this country as a criminal. But then the government carefully starts to choose who to persecute. If the business owner is loyal, if it complies with immoral, unlawful demands from the government, gives certain political favors, then the law enforcement system and the judicial system look the other way. But if the business owner decides to stand up for the constitutional rights of his or her fellow citizens, if they refuse to cave in to political demands from the authoritarian government, then the persecution comes in full.” “We cannot afford to have this ship sunk. There is nowhere to escape. In the past, dissidents from authoritarian countries could flee to the West. But if the current trajectory continues, in a decade or two from now, they will have hard time trying to understand whether they have already left their repressive homeland or they’re just entering another open-air prison.” “Those who are willing to give up their essential liberty for some temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” ————— Which would you choose: essential liberty or temporary safety?

Binface beating Farage is something most of the political establishment wants, because it hates Farage so much. Plus massive LOLs etc But, like most things it does, it will ultimately backfire, as Binface being in the House of Commons for 3 years - and all the publicity it gets around the world - will make a mockery of UK politics itself. They say Farage has achieved more in politics than anyone except Thatcher and that he has done it from the outside. If they elect Binface to get rid of him, and then the world sees Binface in the HoC, in doing so Farage, will achieve even more. Unintended consequences and all that. There is also the fact that many of Binface’s policies, for example to build "at least one affordable house," make very valid points. The Binface brand will be worth a fortune after all this. Imagine the speaking fees. :)
