It Is Time to Replace Rwanda’s Ambassador as Acting Dean of the Diplomatic Corps (see video⤵️) It is inconsistent and unacceptable that Rwanda’s Ambassador to the United States — representing a government whose entire military (the Rwanda Defense Force) has been sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury, and whose President serves as Commander-in-Chief of that sanctioned force — continues to hold the position of Acting Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Washington, D.C. and even receives standing ovations in that capacity. This situation seriously undermines the credibility and integrity of U.S. sanctions policy and should be reviewed and corrected immediately by the Department of State.
