The 2 dudes were gay lovers (or one of them was a trans) who could no longer take the cruelty and lack of understanding from this world, and decided to move to another one. While looking for a comfortable site to commit suicide, they heard an excessive noise coming from the nearby mosque and realized it was the place responsible for their predicament. So, they shot up the mosque, and then killed themselves. End of story.

I have prayed at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Like me, the Muslim-Americans who were targeted today pray for peace, for the future of their kids, for a better tomorrow. I am horrified by the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, an apparent act of anti-Muslim violence. Islamophobia endangers Muslim communities across this country. We must confront it directly and stand together against the politics of fear and division. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community grieving this devastating attack. The NYPD is increasing deployments to mosques across the city out of an abundance of caution. There are currently no known threats to NYC houses of worship.

Aren't you rushing ahead of yourself? If the shooters tried to send an anti-Islamist message, why would they shoot themselves? And who is going to attack an Islamic center in NYC? At the same time, synagogues were invaded several times, and a terrorist was arrested planning violence against Jews.
