It feels like the overall experience of social media has dropped significantly in the last few months. It's not unique to this platform, but all of the ones I use. Am I alone in this sentiment?

There is a popular myth that Poland enjoys its economic miracle because it didn’t accept immigrants. In reality, it did let them in, but unlike Western Europe, Poland offers no lavish welfare. Most immigrants work, integrate, and contribute to society. That’s the difference.

The American Tribune
What happened in cities like Detroit was a state-sanctioned ethnic cleansing of whites “Civil Rights” riots were allowed to rage essentially unchecked, crime skyrocketed, schools became zoos, and the whites were forced to flee, losing their communities in the process That destruction destroyed America, as it was a lesson that anything you invest in building that can be destroyed in the band of equity will be, and that it is thus better to just be atomized and defensive that striving towards building something great and better Hence the despair and enervating bleakness of the present

Whites were mass expelled from cities. You are historically illiterate. Whites own a majority of wealth as they built this country, which everyone in the world demands to enter.

Windows is really really cheap for manufacturers who buy licenses by the 10s of thousands. I also imagine they have some sort of price break for exclusively selling windows. Also, I'm sure there is additional cost in supporting more than one operating system, utilities, driver management, etc. Not to mention the bloatware deals that often make cheap machines cheaper.

Why do Linux laptops cost so much? With Windows out of the picture, should they not cost less? But you look at preloaded Linux laptops, and they are more expansive than similar spec Windows laptops. The same is the case with Linux mini-PCs. Your thoughts?

If they did a subscription model 20 years ago they'd may have survived. If you recall, Netflix beat them on physical media before they destroyed them with streaming. Netflix was 15-20 bucks a month for 3-4 movies at a time with no late fees. The problem was waiting for them. Blockbuster had an advantage of being able to get stuff same day. But 2 day rental with a 5 dollar late fee SUCKED.

Ex-Blockbuster employee here. And I mean it with 100% sincerity that the world would be a better place if we shut down all streaming services, re-opened Blockbusters and video stores worldwide, and shoved people back out into the world to find and enjoy their entertainment.

As with everything, I think it's more nuanced. I have seen police camp out and pull over every single person that leaves a restaurant, I have seen random checkpoints on the road where they stop every single car. I think that's ridiculous. However, if you are driving poorly, then you should get pulled over - drunk or not.

It has nothing to do with DUI being the heinous crime that it is and everything to do with implied consent. When you get a driver's license, you grant this. You consent to blowing or losing your license, your choice. But the point is you do it in advance. When you get a mortgage, you do not, which is why they can't just come into your house.

According to CNN's own data analyst @ForecasterEnten: -MAGA grew from 28% to 30% since Trump's election win -Trump holds 100% approval among MAGA -90% of MAGA approves of US military action in Iran MAGA is not dead. The movement shouldn't be defined by those who quit it.

The only thing I'll blame you for is failing to form a neutral assessment of the position he abandoned. Both he and you appear flummoxed over a leadership role in counterterror that was pretty clearly defined. He never was, and never would be, consulted to opine about Military Strategy. He had no seat at the table, and was never "in the room". He dealt with intel on militants attacking soft targets, shipments of weapons, money, cointel, informants. He's running for Congress and this is his launch, and he was probably waiting for some BFD he could make a stink and quit over. Maybe you're gullible and being hoodwinked because his departure looks like Morality in action, and it was just another self-serving grift like the ones you claim to be pissed about any other day.

@realDonaldTrump We should not sit and wait for the next attack, wipe Iran's ballistic capability out and get our troops out of Iraq - they are only targets now. No US WIA/KIA is a tribute to the professionalism of our military and intel professionals not Iranian restraint.

Look man, don't be dense. I'm not here saying "I Love War". So separate yourself from the argument. The director of Counterterrorism is (A) acting publicly OUTSIDE of the scope of his position. (B) knows EXACTLY how close we are to war with Iran on a daily basis. He was offered and sworn in on some pretty simple conditions - A,B,C are ALWAYS very likely, if not probable. Can you handle that? YES SIR! Eight months later, (A) happens, and he quits. AND IT'S NOT EVEN IN HIS DESCRIPTION to worry about what precipitated (A) or if it is somehow "preportionate" in his world-view opinion of global diplomacy. HIS JOB was to prevent, predict, and understand the hundreds of little flash-points that Iran FACILITATED with their activities. And he's pissed off that a big fat chunk of them just got neutered? In reality, he should actually be pleased (even if morally opposed to the war itself) that the thing he is tasked with, just had all its fuel hoses bent.

He's the (former) Counterterror chief. Its not his job to approve of the proportionality of the strike. His job is to assess, prepare for, and prevent terror acts, and Trump leveled the worlds biggest state actor, neutering about 95% of their ability to contribute to ongoing, daily ME threats. If he was level headed executive, he might think "Well, I maybe don't agree with the method, but this just wiped a ton of potential shit off the chessboard". I don't like hearing screams of panic coming from Airline pilots, surgeons, or Counterterror chiefs when the thing you know will probably happen, happens.

This is a bad idea. One of the reasons Reddit is so bad was because of the upvote/downvote system. If dislikes suppress posts in the timeline, X will rapidly descend into an echochamber.
R A W S A L E R T S@rawsalerts

🚨#BREAKING: X (formerly Twitter) has officially begun rolling out a new “Dislike” button for replies. Dislike counts won’t be visible publicly instead, they’ll be used privately to help improve reply rankings and overall conversation quality, similar to how Reddit’s downvote system works.
