I have a family member who is a doctor. Not long ago, a Hindu Indian man called to schedule an appt. The doctor’s receptionist explained that the office wasn’t taking any new patients for at least 6-8 months. The man began cursing and berating the receptionist, demanding to be seen immediately. She kindly explained again. He screamed and slammed the phone down. A week later, he called again, demanding an appt. He was told the same thing. He then MAILED a letter to the doctor and threatened to SUE the doctor for not allowing him to bypass every other patient to be seen, lol. That’s how entitled they’re behaving in our country.

A similar thing happened with “Heal the kids”.. Schmuley used MJ to raise funds for it and then MJ found out none of that money went to kids but was taken by Schmuley’s fake charity L’Chaim society as “salaries”, straight into their pockets. MJ fell out with Schmuley over it.

Took my daughter to “The Sheep Detectives” knowing nothing except it was the only G or PG option at the theater. Deeeeeelightful. Four quadrant, all-ages, high concept, heartstrings player like they don’t usually make anymore. Good and for everyone.

So far I, personally, have called ICE on 72 individuals and 53 of them along with their families have been deported.

I am a retired software engineer who made so much money I dont have to care about anything, forever, before I was 40. I worked with our "high skilled immigration", and I dont fucking want them either, regardless of what an indian woman posing as an intellectual on twitter says.

It should be a struggle to be in the US illegally. No bank accounts. No loans. No driver’s licenses. No employment. No government benefits. No car purchases. No housing. No taxpayer funded healthcare. Make it painful for them to be here and they’ll leave.

The modal “high skilled immigrant” is a software engineer of middling ability whose primary value to an employer is a willingness to accept 60% of the wages of a citizen and cannot quit lest they be deported. It is no wonder Americans soured on this rotten arrangement.

It's actually hilarious watching legal immigrants crashout on this app today. People really do treat America like an "economic zone" where you show up, collect the stock options, half-ass LARP the values, and then have a full meltdown the second anyone starts to question your true values. We've had enough of this. It's time to leave.

I did an internship at FedEx some 10 years ago as I was leaving college in Memphis. I busted my ass and built stuff I'm still impressed with today, and got a lowballed offer I'm still surprised with today. $55k if I recall correctly. I thought it was a visibility problem. I'm just not impressing the right people, the company is too large with too many first-hire policies for me to move fast in it, or maybe I didn't build the right thing or didn't sell it or myself well enough. Come to last year, Vivek has that splat amongst the right with this H1B commentary and it reminded me. If I were to guess, 70% of the entry-mid level engineers at FedEx were all temporary visas, or started there. They also sucked ass. They were very slow, didn't work at all, couldn't figure out the most basic stuff, and I'm pretty sure half of them had fraudulent "credentials". It was bad. Now I'm feeling my offer was low because why would they offer more? Why wouldn't FedEx take the money to hire me an instead hire 4 people on H1Bs with fake degrees and accents so thick people leave meetings because its too frustrating. To all of the West Coast, tech elite, SFers. I hear you, but there's two sides to this story, and this side is very very ugly.

Here's a list of "geniuses" I've worked with, 100% useless as fuck, 100% H1bs: - Chick with the title "Data Scientist" who strictly knew how to use google sheets. Like could not code. Couldn't use tableau, couldn't use SQL, and I had to show her how to make charts in google sheets after I got sick of doing her job for her. - Guy who's only job was running 3 morning standups, "SCRUM MASTER" and then wrote all the notes in JIRA because engineers didn't want to do it. Then after 11am spent entire day in Diversity Club meetings, and wandering around the office bothering people asking them if they wanted to go to Happy Hour at 3pm. - Guy I was forced to manage who slept at his desk all day long and I tried to fire him multiple times and they wouldn't let me for some reason, until COVID thank fucking god. Never actually did one thing in 4 months. - Employee I inherited who had a masters degree (allegedly) but could not make a powerpoint and/or google slides presentation? Like how? This was a very very large part of college, and even high school. - Entire chinese risk team who pretended they could only use R, and kept saying "We only use R" when management would send them excel / sheets / even .csvs (?????). Like they could only literally work with or open .rmd or .r files. How are you even alive? So then we hired a guy who's only job was like to be their intermediary, but he couldn't speak chinese he was like German or French or something, so they talked to each other via translator all day. All day at an America company you talk to 10 chinese people via translate while they talk about you in front of you in chinese. Yeah this is genius work were doing here guys - Then that guy above could kinda speak english so they had him meeting with management about risk modeling, and something got lost in translation because our models were so fucking far off that we just started bleeding $10s of thousands a day, which led to all of these "geniuses" getting fired. Never gonna guess who had to pick up the pieces for all these geniuses (I have a bachelors degree from a state school)

I hate the dilemma of kids' bikes. For ~$150 you can get a janky bike from walmart that'll probably last you 2 seasons before going in a landfill. For ~$30 and an hour of your time you can go on fb marketplace and get a janky bike that should've gone into a landfill 2 yrs ago.
