@barstoolsports “OBSTRUCTION is the act of a fielder who, while not in possession of the ball and not in the act of fielding the ball, impedes the progress of any runner." By holding the fake tag on him, he's impeding the runner from advancing. That's obstruction.

One of the quiet tensions in Elders Quorum is this: We’re asked to minister to men, many of whom are carrying heavy loads, struggling in their faith, or just barely showing up. At the same time, we’re also trying to hold a certain standard for ourselves, our families, and the quorum. It’s hard not to feel the pull between lowering the bar so people feel accepted, and keeping it high enough that the quorum actually helps men become something more. I don’t think those two things have to be enemies. But I also don’t think pretending the tension doesn’t exist helps anyone. How do you balance lifting people where they are with still inviting them to rise? Cuz I’m not sure I know tbh. And now I’m asked to be a second counselor in the presidency.

@KintsugiJin Most often it looks like a lot of work. One night a week my presidency goes out and makes visits to families. We conduct in person ministering interviews. Monthly lunches. Organic sports nights, attend non-church youth events. Sunday dinners. Time is love

@MoNewzNow I don't want to lower the bar. That wasn't my suggestion at all. What does loving people look like in action amongst the quorum though?

@VigilantFox I hope his women is well compensated, giving up daily activities to Cook and clean, also making you have a tub of running water every evening he comes home. Why can’t both partners equally do the cooking/ cleaning? They lowkey want to send women back into the 1950’s lol

Stephen A. Smith tells Cam Newton he likes his women “domesticated.” Smith identifies as “socially liberal,” but Democrats are definitely not going to like this: “I can cook for myself. I don’t want to. I want you to cook!” “If I have to do that, WHY DO I NEED YOU?” “I’ll take you out, I’ll buy the food. I’ll take care of whatever you need me to take care of.” “But damn it, if I walk through my crib and you there? I better not smell Pine-Sol [instead of food].” “My sister has her own family. If my sister knows I’m coming, the minute I walk through the door, I’m smelling food. She knows that. She’s my sister.” “You the woman in my life, and I’m smelling Pine-Sol? That ain’t gonna last. I assure you that.” “Go get the brother that don’t mind. I hope he can offer you what I’m offering.”

I served a Mormon mission from 2002 - 2004. None of us missionaries knew that Joseph Smith practiced polygamy. I was never taught that as a Mormon kid. I don't think I found out until I was in my mid-twenties, and I didn't find out about it at church. I found out about it online.

“Why haven’t you ever heard of this?” Maybe cause you never looked at what is literally right on our website. Hahaha (Seriously this is taught in all Church history classes)

On May 1st, Viviana aka “Vivi” joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love. 💕 She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister. We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble. Thank you to everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy - I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.🙏

@MarioNawfal @elonmusk Shows you that you can still be evil and make a good product. I do respect Brian’s decision, but it doesn’t seem like you do because you mentioned a “win“. The winning should be for humanity and safety, not for an individual.

One of Elon's most vocal critics just bought a Cybertruck. Brian Krassenstein, who has spent years publicly clashing with @elonmusk, announced the purchase yesterday. His reason had nothing to do with politics. He has a young family and the Cybertruck is the only pickup truck in America to hold both an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award and a perfect 5-star NHTSA rating simultaneously. When your fiercest critics are buying your product because the data leaves them no choice, that's a different kind of win.

@michaelschwab13 It’s time for a reset. I’d try to keep Hunter Brown and everyone else is gone. There will be teams willing to give up a lot for Alvarez, Pena, etc come trade deadline. Makes me sick as I’m a huge Pena fan but it’s time. We need new leadership at every level.

Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicated the Lindon Utah Temple on Sunday May 3, 2026.   “That which we experience in the temple increases our desire to submit our hearts and our wills to God, as His humble children,” said President @EyringHB during the dedication. He continued, “When we obey what we are taught in the temple with all our hearts, it makes possible our receiving the gift of peace.”   Read more on Newsroom. newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/presid…

I ended up having a pretty good relationship with him over the years. He’s a good guy. But he spent time berating me privately and then again in front of the entire quorum, using me as an example. I don’t feel in this instance he was in the right. Bishops aren’t perfect, as nobody is. And I have no reason to lie about my experience. But you are free to believe what you want 👍🏻

As a youth I would occasionally wear a non-white shirt, but still with a tie. I clearly remember being yelled at for an incredibly long time by my bishop for not wearing a white shirt. I thought it was stupid to make that big of a deal about it. Especially when nearly all of the other boys administering the sacrament in white shirts were literally doing drugs the night before and breaking the law of chastity in every sense of the word. I didn’t leave the church over it, (most of the other kids eventually did, ironically), but it certainly pushed me away and I couldn’t believe the hypocrisy and how out of touch the bishop was. That being said, when contention and anger is out of the question, I can better understand the reason behind a white shirt. But I believe your personal Sunday best is what you should wear, whatever that looks like. And more importantly, your personal worthiness should be the priority and nobody should be shamed for wearing something different.

BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇹 Trump just cut Italy loose. "Italy was not on our side. We will not be on their side. They made their choice." Meloni's response: "Italy cannot be part of any organization where children and women are massacred." Trump's closest European ally. Gone. NATO exit threatened. Spain sanctioned. Now Italy. The U.S. is losing Europe.

INSIGHTS: 🇺🇸🇮🇹 Trump just publicly called out Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. "She is no longer the old Meloni. I thought she was brave. I was wrong." Meloni's response: "Italy does not care about what Donald Trump said." Read the Meloni situation carefully. She was Trump's strongest European ally. The one leader who publicly supported his agenda. NATO exit threatened. Iran talks cancelled. Meloni gone. The U.S. is increasingly isolated on the world stage. When you lose your last friend in Europe. You're not winning anymore.

@RedWavePress Been saying this a lot the past month. You cannot expect a guy like Trump, who’s running this marathon like it’s a sprint, to not do several things along the way that you’re not gonna like. He’s 100X better than any option we had and he is doing great things for our country

Ben Shapiro TORCHES Tucker Carlson: “I do not regret my vote for President Trump in 2024. Not one iota. Not one bit. And frankly, I find the entire conversation about regret pretty confusing, because here is the thing: the alternative would have been President Kamala Harris.” “Let’s be clear, the vast majority of things that President Trump said he would deliver on, he has delivered on. And the vast majority of principles that he said that be believed in, he has effectuated.” “So why are all of these people suddenly confused? He is doing the things he’s been saying for 40 years he’s going to do, and why do they think it would have been better if Kamala Harris was President of the United States?”
