@singlehandicap2 @loftedondrive @IpswichTown Johnson and Greaves came in and did well. “Game of two halves”.”✔️” Not easy for us to play against a physical team. A point. We go again. PS. Something needs to be done about what goes on in the 6 yard box at set pieces.

☀️ Rise and shine, Ipswich - I've got some great news for you. Our town has made it through to the next stage of the City of Culture competition! There is a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we should be really proud of this achievement. #TeamIpswich2029 #CityOfCulture2029

Spot on. We’ve come to fetishise “local representatives” far too much, a symptom of our politics becoming smaller and more parochial. What we need is quality national politicians. If they have to be “parachuted” in, and they spend more time in SW1 than the constituency, so be it.

We can only build stronger communities if we set out a strong, positive message built on true patriotism. We love our country in its diversity and will stand together against the attempts to trash it from destructive racists and divisive politicians. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@munirawilson @educationgovuk Yup but @bphillipsonMP idea of tough choices is punishing the “wrong sort of kids” in favour of promoting herself & free breakfasts. Sadly she doesnt have a grip on the realities of education nor parenting. She had a privileged upbringing resulting in Oxford uni. Out of touch.

Disappointed that Labour MPs voted against increasing the #ASGSF tonight. We are told tough choices need to be made, but the @educationgovuk spent nearly £50m on ads last year—up £15m in two years. Halving that could restore vital therapeutic support for thousands of children.

🟥 Shameful - @DavidLammy you have sold out justice, your former profession and the British people. A 3 year prison sentence impacts negatively on your career, relationships, reputation, ability to travel - your entire life. It is not like a scrape on your knee.
Joanna Hardy-Susskind@Joanna__Hardy

Your local friendly criminal barrister here! 👋 I need you to know that anything up to a three year prison sentence imposed without a jury trial is really not the same thing as scraping your knee without seeing a consultant.

I don’t want my tax being spent on facilitating the return of these extremists from Dubai to the UK. They clearly despise our culture and way of life and they should seek refuge in the first safe country they arrive in. Am I doing this right?🤔

The killing of dozens of girls at a primary school in Iran is not on the front page of a single British newspaper. A simple test - imagine the reaction if they were Israelis. aljazeera.com/news/2026/2/28…

Once again, as with the attack on Venezuela, it is quite striking that the Iranian civilians murdered by the US and Israel are utterly irrelevant. They are just bugs crushed underfoot as far as the British political and media class are concerned.

To all those Labour Party members and supporters who will feel so disappointed this morning I just say first the nightmare of Reform was blocked & second it was Labour Together that lost this election not the Labour Party that I know & have supported all my adult life.

I was speaking with a friend who works as a cook in a kitchen run by World Central Kitchen. His voice sounded exhausted, as if he was carrying news he didn’t want to say out loud. He told me the kitchen may completely stop cooking and distributing food to displaced people in Gaza within the next two days. The reason is shocking: the trucks that bring cooking supplies and fuel are being prevented from entering. Without them, they cannot light a single fire or prepare a single meal. What makes this harder to understand is that people expected that after the war stopped, more trucks and aid would be allowed in. But what is happening seems to be the opposite. Instead of increasing the number of trucks, they are being stopped from entering in the first place. What is happening here? This may sound like a small detail to someone far away, but here it means everything. Hundreds of thousands of people rely on these meals every single day. Many families have no food in their tents at all and wait for these meals the way a drowning person waits for air. It is Ramadan, and people are already struggling to find something to break their fast with. If this kitchen stops, it will not simply be the suspension of a humanitarian service people will immediately feel hunger returning to the camps. If the trucks are not allowed in soon, this will not be a distant possibility. It will become a real catastrophe within days. Here, when food stops, it simply means that thousands of families will go to sleep hungry again.

@jackabbott90 @bphillipsonMP @itvanglia U can’t make better without > funding. At moment dealing with schools & LAs is stressful & exhausting. an appeal system to either is going to be a complete waste of time. Taking away appeals to tribunal makes everything unenforceable. Yet more persecution of vulnerable by Labour.

I spoke to @itvanglia about our Government's proposed transformation of the broken SEND system. There is a lot of work ahead of us, and there is no instant magic bullet which will fix the multitude of challenges that face children and families, but things will get better.

Later today I’ll set out my vision for a modernised justice system. For too long, victims have faced unacceptable delays and growing backlogs. This isn’t good enough. Today we call time on the system of the past and pull every lever - modernisation, investment and reform - to deliver swifter justice for victims.
