@_MissieBee Agree 100% I’ve queried the ‘to see grandad’ . They’re not adjusting the papers for how children speak - even I say ‘I’m going to see my gran’ and what I mean is spend time with her. Not going to stand there staring at her am I? 🙈 just feels like a lottery of correct phrasing.

New to leading reading in my new school. I have audited the book corners in KS2 and I now understand why there is no love of reading. All the books are incredibly ancient, not representative of the children and without any interest to the kids. We obviously do not have any budget

We do a lot around the man himself and the concept of drama at the time (historical context explored as well).
