@EmmanuelMacron @FabiusMulongo This is completely wrong. Collapsing Africans into one group and equating their challenges with those of Europeans is a blatant lie. Africans suffer from constant European destabilization and consistent meddling in our affairs. Your fellow continental leader @GiorgiaMeloni knows!

@citizentvkenya in high-level diplomacy involving Emmanuel Macron, maintaining decorum is non-negotiable. Kenyans should also style up and uphold discipline in public and official engagements.

I often wonder what Kwame Nkrumah would say today if he looked at this continent and see what's happening. How is the President of France so comfortable explaining panafricanism to Africans? Who and what made him this comfortable???

French President Emmanuel Macron declares “we are the true pan-Africanists” at a summit with more than 30 African leaders in Kenya, hailing Africa as the world’s youngest continent with an economic growth set to outpace Southeast Asia. 🔴 More on aljazeera.com

Kenya is the only place in Africa where the leader a European imperial power can have the temerity to stand up and call himself a Pan Africanist. #jiheshimuuheshimiwe #yesmassa

Pan-Africanism is an ideology that represents Africa's desire for common agency. It cannot be appropriated by external actors even if they want to express sympathy and recognise where the future lies.

It is quite satisfying to watch the antelope loudly proclaim its friendship with the leopard. But the entire savanna knows, that this friendship has never existed anywhere but in the mind of the predator searching for a more comfortable way to feed, and that of a prey so foolish it has mistaken the beauty of those spots for something other than the last thing it will ever see..

I don't buy that the hate against Black people is only about their skin color. There has to be something bigger behind it because no society would set up all its power, laws, and culture just to hold people down over a simple difference in skin shade

We are ‘skipping’ industrialization and majoring in the minors. Do Africans think AI and the internet will solve their dependency problem? Big joke

@sholard_mancity I think the implimentation of CBE was a cultivated move to reduce schooling amongst Kenyans. The future is no longer luminous if we don't act.

I think there’s something important many people are missing. Under 8-4-4, once you qualified for secondary school, your options were often broader. A parent could take you to many easily available schools, and the student would continue learning within the same general system. Under CBC, pathway placement matters more. If a learner is placed in STEM, but the nearest affordable/day school does not offer that pathway, what happens, especially for poor families? My advice to the government: expand all pathways across more public schools so no child is locked out by geography or poverty.

I’ve just watched a heartbreaking report on Citizen TV Kenya, and I’m angry. Below is Mercy Kagendo, who topped Mtopanga Primary in Grade 9 with 62 marks. A bright young girl with a future ahead of her. But 3 months later, she is still at home. Not because she failed. Not because she is sick. Not because there’s no school. But because she is POOR. Her mother has no job, no income, and no way to pay. She has tried everything, including taking the kid to school as Ruto had ordered, but failed Yet William Ruto and his team keep touring the country saying “every child is in school.” How many more lies must Kenyans swallow? Imagine working hard, becoming number 1, only for poverty to end your education at 15. This government is normalizing the death of dreams. The death that Kibaki tried to end. And then some people tell us TUTAM. Tutam for what? More lies? More poverty? More children locked out of school? A nation that abandons its brightest poor children is digging its own grave.

The illusion of replacing leaders 2002: “We just need to replace Moi.” Nobody cared about fixing the system. 2007: “We just need to replace Kibaki.” No talk of systemic change 2022: “We just need to replace Uhuru.” Infact vote Ruto to punish Uhuru 2027: “We just need to replace Ruto.” Same illusion. Anyone but Ruto! 2032: “We just need to replace whoever” A broken system eventually reproduces the same outcomes, no matter who sits at the top. Can we discuss how we can reform the broken system atleast?
