Scottish names like ‘Mackenzie’ and ‘Dalziel’ used to be written with the Anglo-Saxon letter yogh (Ȝ) that was pronounced like ‘yh’. Because of its appearance, early printers represented it with ‘z’ which gave rise to modern spellings and pronunciations.

Apparently a Tesla Cybertruck has been seen getting tested in London. The width comes across as ridiculous, particularly considering that a Cybertruck with mirrors folded at 6'8" is too wide for a standard UK width restriction.

Rest in peace Mum. Jose Lloyd. 1927 - 2025. At the time, the second oldest person in the UK to have had a child (I wasn't planned). Not verified, but that's what I was told... Mum gave me so much support in everything I did. She was one of the calmest souls you could ever meet. Unless I put Guns 'n Roses on.

@Rabbit67Law @TJTreacy @C_KMcIntosh Yes. For the 172 RTA it comes with a warning that failing to answer the Q is an offence. Also Sec 13 of the criminal law consolidation Scotland act is the same - a warning that failing to answer is an offence.

since going on paternity leave 3 weeks ago, I have drank on average 3 cans a night. a sensible amount. not enough to get drunk, just enough to get a headache and steadily put weight on. just realised that in 3 weeks of what I would call abstinence I've put away 63 cans. sensible.
