In many parts of Kajiado South, accessing health care has meant walking up to three hours just to reach the nearest facility. However, that’s changing through a 12-day medical outreach led in partnership with @KajiadoGov, @Amref_Kenya, @AfricaCDC, @entepesikenya, @RockyVistaU, and @HandsForHealth. As a result, communities are now receiving basic health services where they live, including screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and immunisation for children. Other services offered during the medical outreach include antenatal check-ups, cervical cancer screening, HIV testing, and on-site diagnostics.
