The main issue I have with this interpretation, is Deribit's exchange balance has NOT increased since 2022, so it has not been the receiver of this 'OG selling'. As per data from both Glassnode and @SaniExp The more likely reality, is we just had a lot of spot selling.

@WouterHODL I’m in Curacao too.

A year ago, we moved to Curaçao. Besides the much better climate compared to the Netherlands, I find one of the biggest advantages is that you meet far more inspiring people here. With all due respect to the Netherlands, a large part of the population leads an extremely dull life. The rat race, the standard two weeks of vacation per year, getting their news from the newspaper, talking about that new Netflix series and so on. Fine for many, but not something that energizes me to deal with. Here in Curaçao, I meet a lot of entrepreneurs, investors, but also regular employees who almost all have a remarkable personal story to tell. And also many people from other cultures, with completely different backgrounds. It’s (as far as you can say that in Curaçao in the scorching heat 😁) very refreshing. It gives a lot of energy and inspiration. It has also made me realize again how important it is to surround yourself with the right people.

I would encourage anyone running Bitcoin Core to do their own research on this one before upgrading when released. The horrible precedent it sets and the combined risk of a centralized Core + centralized mining pools creates an untenable situation (Op_Return is a distraction!).
