NYC Sanitation has issued a Winter Operations Advisory for Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 3am. Forecasts are calling for another 1-3 inches of snow beginning in the early morning hours. - Our snow fighting vehicles, which have been active since the last storm, have not stopped, and will continue to work this storm. - Collection is delayed during ongoing snow operations. Please hold your paper & metal/glass/plastic recycling, if you can. Once collection restarts, we will prioritize trash and compost collection. Do your part by staying off the roads during active precipitation, if you can. Wanted for ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER: On 2/23/26 at approximately 4:20 PM, two uniformed police officers were inside Washington Square Park when two individuals intentionally struck the officers multiple times with snow and ice causing injury to their head, neck, and face. @andrewcuomo What happened before this? There is a community snowball fight in Washington Square Park every time we get measurable snow. New Yorkers know that and it's open to everyone. So again, what happened BEFORE this moment?

Property owners, that means you must shovel your sidewalk by 8:30pm, including a four-foot path for wheelchairs and strollers, as well as around any curb ramps, fire hydrants, and unsheltered bus stops that may be in front of your property. DSNY snow clearing operations are continuing. Our priority is to keep the roadways open, and we know that Staten Island was particularly hard hit. We’ve sent in extra reinforcements. Emergency Snow Shovelers will continue to be employed. Due to blizzard conditions in the current winter storm, pay for this weather event starts at $30 per hour. Want to register? Brooms. Are. Back. (yes! yipee! yay!) ASP is in effect today. We'll be working to give the streets a much needed sweeping AND clearing out remaining snow piles. We've got EXTRA mechanical brooms out there today. And we are using 300+ plows & salt spreaders, alongside the brooms, to make sure they can reach those dirty curbs. My sister, the beautiful actress, just confirm what I’ve been saying about the black community. Whenever a black man is accused of doing something you see all industry rise up and social media demanding that they be locked up.. even try to withdraw their family along. But when white men and Trump rich white men were accused of raping kids and killing, they are silence.. you don’t see people on TikTok and YouTube and Instagram and Twitter targeting Trump and the rich powerful.
