After the Bondi attack, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stood at a podium and did exactly what governments always do after tragedy: blame the public… and take more guns. But here’s the problem. Australia already did this in the 1990s. They banned firearms. They ran massive buybacks. They confiscated registered guns. They promised safety. And now—decades later—another mass shooting happens. Even worse? According to witnesses, police were already on scene and took a while to engage.

Nobody says "rope suicide," or "knife suicide." Giffords uses "gun suicide" because they want to make this tragedy an excuse to advance their agenda. The United States has a lower suicide rate than many countries that have strict gun laws.

But wait, WHY wasn’t destroying 12,000 firearms in phase 1 a sufficient enough test? This raises two important questions: 1. WHO is this “external service provider”? 2. Remember folks, @SenRickScott signed FLORIDA'S UNDER-21 GUN PURCHASE BAN into law. Many D-Day veterans were under the age of 21. If his own Father were young today, he'd be barred from buying his own service rifle from the CMP. Worse, many FL Republicans refuse to repeal it!

Last I recall, the governor was proposing this at the start of session and lawmakers even introduced legislation to get this done. But the House said NO. So much for representing the people.

Almost all counties will just laugh at this. This legislature had the opportunity to give Floridians property tax relief THIS YEAR under @GovRonDeSantis's proposal, but they didn't want to work with him to get a win for homeowners.
