@McClureShawn Based on all the criteria needed to create life, the chances of the world being created, as it is today, were essentially the same as an equal-sided coin landing on heads 10-quintillion times in a row. You tell me if there’s a creator.

@KR3Wmatic Tell her the chances this earth just “came to be” are the same chances as flipping an equal-sides coin and it landing on heads 10 quintillion times in a row. Those numbers have made other scientists (and atheists) believe there must be a higher power.

If corporations allow you to sign up with one click, you should be able to cancel with one click too. Subscription traps, whether from an app or gym membership, are just another way corporations take advantage of working people.  We've already put hundreds of companies on notice. This week, we proposed a rule that would make NYC a national leader in cracking down on abusive practices that nickel-and-dime New Yorkers.

@TheAmericanHill Is there ever evidence in these cases? The actor from That 70’s Show is literally sitting in prison on a 25-year sentence because two girls said “this happened to me 15 years ago.” Courts have lost their minds on a woman’s years’ old testimony.

If Eric Swalwell did commit the horrible actions alleged by these women, he should resign and be charged. That being said, is there any evidence outside of “he did this to me” that he is guilty?

@hangry_fem @brickroad7 @evanwch @OrganizerMemes What pattern of behavior? The chick blew him, then years later went out for drinks with him and got railed after. What rape victim goes and has drinks with her abuser? We should honestly start calling it “the girl who cried wolf.”

@brickroad7 @evanwch @OrganizerMemes Dude you are deeply deeply stupid. There is a mountain of corroborating evidence PLUS a pattern of extremely similar behavior across a bunch of incidences where the women didn’t know each other. What do you say to that??

I’m no Eric Swalwell fan- but if you give your boss oral sex and then later get drunk and have sex with him and regret it, that’s not sexual assault. That is you making bad decisions and then trying to rewrite the story later to make yourself feel better

@ConsHistReview @VolHendrix His job is clearly measured by the surplus he’s bringing into the school. Not ideal for fans, but those at the top of UT athletics are probably paid well for it.

@VolHendrix Right. Tennessee's athletic department revenue last year was $304 million: one of the three highest in the country. LSU's was $81 million. Yet they spent about double what the cap allows. Infuriating. Danny White will destroy everything he was building because of this.

Brent Hubbs on Chaz Coleman: “He’s got to go to the practice field. He’s got to commit to it harder. He’s dealing with whatever personal things he’s dealing with. But at some point in time, Chaz Coleman has to make a commitment that he’s going to put in the work, and he’s going to grind seven days a week the way he needs to if he’s going to be a factor for this football team this fall. He’s not getting ready to get thrown off the team or anything like that. I don’t find him to be a great distraction, I don’t think it’s one of these deals where he’s dividing this team. This is not a Boo Carter situation."

TRENDING: Tennessee star pass rusher Chaz Coleman is having some off field issues early in his time in Knoxville. Despite this, the Vols “do not want to kick him off the team,” per a report by Tony Basilio. Coleman is being paid $3.5 million this season by the Volunteers. Basilio stated that this is the farthest Coleman has ever been away from home and that he is “not handling it well.” He then said a source close to the Coleman family told him it sometimes takes Chaz a bit longer to “get locked in.” “They’ve been in contact with family members, and it’s possible one of his siblings could join him soon in Knoxville,” Basilio said in regards to the Vols efforts to help smooth over the transition. Thoughts? Coleman has seemingly unlimited upside at a premium position of value, but paying $3.5 million for a guy who isn’t “locked in yet” is a bit suspect. Let us know what you think 👇

The FedEx driver who abducted a seven-year-old girl before driving her to her death, complains about how bad his life will be if he goes to prison. Tanner Horner abducted and killed Athena Strand while delivering a Barbie to her home in North Texas. In newly released footage, Horner could be heard whining to police about how he won't be able to watch his son grow up if he goes to prison. Horner was heard accusing a voice in his head named 'Zero' of making him kill Athena. "I'm going to miss out on all my son's Christmases, his birthdays, and growing up. I'm going to miss out on everything," Horner said. "All because I listened to some stupid voice that isn't probably even there."

@Legal_Fil You understand that a university funding research, educating students, etc. is doing far more for the common good with $60B than Bezos with nearly four times that, right? Of course you do, but protect billionaires you must.

Harvard has a $60 billion endowment, but pays roughly $50 million in taxes a year because they are subject to only a 1.4% tax on net investment income. Odd that Warren never argues that they should pay more.
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

I still think overall, Knueppel has had the way better season. Flagg will likely be a better player long-term, but I’d have a hard time voting him for ROY over Knueppel’s historic year which includes reviving the hapless Hornets.
HoopsHype@hoopshype

Cooper Flagg on his 96-point weekend: "I think it's definitely some sort of a statement. I'm confident in myself and I know what I'm capable of and I'll just let the rest of the stuff figure itself out." Rookie of the Year or not?

Trump, who I advocated for in 2024, has gone full "mad king." In considering my responsibility, I'd ask you to remember: The case I made rested on the fact that Biden/Harris were figureheads, shielding a cabal that couldn't be held to account, whereas Trump could. And we must.
