If the police had arrested him when he manhandled a woman last month, we would not have reached this stage. Never spare a crime—whether committed by your own kins or clans. Shielding wrongdoing today only fuels the fire that will eventually consume you, somewhere, somehow.

#SENAPATI: The Mao Students’ Union (MSU) has condemned the circulation of what it termed “unverified and provocative materials” targeting the leadership of the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), especially its president Saloni Toni. The MSU further condemned what it described as the “targeting and character assassination” of SDSA leaders through false social media circulation, and urged people not to spread misinformation and baseless allegations. #MaoTribe More: ukhrultimes.com/mao-students-u…

The attempt to portray the May 16 protest as "anti-Naga" is both misleading and unfair. The protest is against the brutal killing of Kuki church leaders and the role of the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM and its proxies — not against the entire Naga community. The ongoing hostility is being driven primarily by the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM and its proxies, who appear determined to drag the wider Naga community into this conflict. Nagas across the region should remain aware of such tactics and not allow themselves to be manipulated into deepening divisions. The Kuki people do not hold the entire Naga community responsible. The blame lies with those directly involved in instigating violence, intimidation, and targeted attacks — particularly the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM and its proxies. @adgpi @Spearcorps @official_dgar @easterncomd @crpfindia @BSF_India @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @rajnathsingh @DefenceMinIndia @SpokespersonMoD @PIBHomeAffairs @thewire_in @kthaparoffice @kharge @PUCLindia @RahulGandhi @SupriyaShrinate @Jairam_Ramesh @Pawankhera @srinivasiyc @Allavaru @PIBHomeAffairs @ndtvfeed @ndtv @CNN @thewire_in @YKhemchandSingh @mrinalinidhyani @KaranThapar_TTP @newslaundry @EastMojo @AJEnglish @ukhrultimes @timesofindia @TimesNow @htTweets @globaltimesnews @PTI_News @BBCWorld @JuKrick_ @BBCBreaking @rashtrapatibhvn @VPIndia @LokBhavManipur

We express our strongest concern and condemnation over the deeply disturbing allegations that have emerged against Saloni Tony, identified as the President of the Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), in relation to incidents that have caused fear, trauma, and outrage among affected Kuki civilians during the ongoing ethnic conflict in Manipur. Among the most disturbing allegations are reports linking him to the assault and mistreatment of women. Particularly concerning are claims that during the UNC-imposed three-day total shutdown (20–23 April 2026), he allegedly physically assaulted a Kuki woman from Hengbung village who was simply operating her small shop to support her livelihood and meet her daily needs. He is also alleged to be among leaders reported to be involved in the kidnapping and unlawful detention of 25+ Kuki individuals from Taphou. These allegations are extremely serious in nature and strike at the very foundation of human dignity, justice, and the protection of civilian life during times of conflict. Student leaders have a duty to protect, not terrorize. Such acts are a complete betrayal of leadership and an assault on basic human rights. Violence against women and the unlawful detention of civilians are crimes that cannot be excused by conflict, position, or ideology. We condemn these alleged actions in the highest terms. There must be an immediate, impartial investigation. If found responsible, perpetrators must face full accountability under the law. No student leader is above the law. No civilian should live in fear of those claiming to represent the public. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #JusticeForKukis #StopViolenceAgainstWomen #Accountability #Manipur #HumanRights #SDSA #SaloniTony #ProtectCivilians #RuleOfLaw

Social Media Post Allegedly Mocking Slain Kuki Pastors Triggers Outrage, Calls for Action 15 May 2026: — A Facebook post by “Andy Mm’s Videos” has sparked widespread condemnation after it was widely shared with allegations that it mocks the bodies of three Kuki pastors killed on 13 May. The post includes a caption in Meitei script: “Fjna noktharehe Kukiland ywdorena .....” and an image of three men laughing with text overlay “Kukiland fngena nokthare.” An accompanying caption accuses a “Meitei individual” of “shamelessly mocking and showing deep disrespect toward the deceased bodies” of Rev. Vumthang Sitlhou, Pastor Paogoulen, and Pastor Kaigoulun. The three Thadou Baptist Association pastors were killed in an ambush on 13 May while returning from a religious meeting in Kangpokpi District. The post has drawn anger from community members who called it “the utter defilement of grief itself” amid ongoing mourning and a hostage crisis involving 14 Kuki civilians. Condemnation from Kuki Community: We condemn in the strongest terms the mockery of the lifeless bodies of Rev. Vumthang Sitlhou, Pastor Paogoulen, and Pastor Kaigoulun. To ridicule the dead is to abandon basic humanity. Even in this hour of deep mourning and unbearable pain, their deaths are being turned into spectacle. This is not just hatred. This is the utter defilement of grief itself. There is no shame, no limit to the cruelty when laughter is aimed at murdered pastors. Mocking the dead solves nothing. It only deepens wounds and fuels more hate. The three pastors were unarmed men of faith. Their families deserve dignity, not derision. Shame on anyone who ridicules the slain. We demand that platforms remove content celebrating death and that authorities act against those inciting communal hate. Let the dead rest. Let justice speak. #𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐌_𝐓𝐄_𝐀𝐖𝐆𝐈𝐍 @chinkukimizogin #RevVumthangSitlhou #KukiPastors #RespectTheDead #StopHateSpeech #Manipur #ManipurViolence #JusticeForPastors #CondemnMockery #PrayForManipur

𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐊𝐇𝐔𝐋 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓 𝐊𝐔𝐊𝐈 𝐂𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 Every community has internal disagreements, doctrinal debates, and differences within churches or organizations. But no sane person would say pastors and church leaders deserve to be killed because of naming disputes or doctrinal differences. Trying to reduce the killing of innocent Thadou Kuki pastors and civilians to a “Kuki internal issue” is insensitive and contradicts the militant ambush narrative already circulating elsewhere. Even reports linked to ZUF narratives alleged the involvement of NSCN-IM operatives under “ZUF-K” or “ZUF Kamson.” So how can the same incident suddenly be reframed as merely a church disagreement? Thadou is part of the Kuki community. Blaming Kuki churches for the killing of innocent pastors makes no sense. This propaganda surfaced as KSO Delhi prepared to protest today, demanding justice for the killing of the three Thadou Kuki pastors and civilians. Instead of standing for truth and justice, c Tangkhul student in Delhi chose to spread narratives blaming Kuki churches and internal church issues. As his senior from EMRS, this feels deeply personal. Tonggoulen Chongloi, just 17, had finished his Class 12 exams and was working to support his family after losing his father. Before he could return home, he was abducted by Tangkhul militant groups. Bring him home safe.

Manipur📍 A 16-year-old Class XI student, Hengunsei Khongsai, who is 38% disabled and an orphan raised by his uncle, was allegedly kidnapped by NSCN-IM militants on 13 May 2026 while doing daily wage work during his school holidays. He is among the 14 hostages whose whereabouts remain unknown. We urgently appeal to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, and security agencies to intervene immediately and ensure the safe rescue of all hostages. No child, especially a disabled minor struggling through poverty, should suffer such brutality. Silence will only embolden armed groups further. #SaveHengunseiKhongsai # #Rescuethe14Kuki hostages #Manipur #KukiZo #HumanRights #GovernmentOfIndia

A husband, a father, and a son — allegedly abducted by the NSCN-IM along with SDSA. If the Thadou apex body has disowned your organisation, it is important to accept the reality with humility rather than continue claiming what is no longer recognised. It is better to choose humility and righteousness than pride and division. Your so-called peace mission is increasingly being viewed with resentment among the Thadou community. Like the prodigal son in the Bible, there is always room for repentance, reconciliation, and forgiveness for past mistakes.

The Kuki Organisation for Human Rights Trust (KOHUR) has strongly condemned the killing of three prominent church leaders in Kangpokpi district and demanded the immediate handover of all cadres allegedly involved in the ambush. KOHUR alleged that the ambush “bears every hallmark of a premeditated act of terrorism” carried out by cadres of the NSCN-IM in collusion with the ZUF-K (Kamson) faction. It rejected denials issued by the groups, stating that “the bullets, the terrain, the operational footprint and the political motive all point in one direction.
