Tesco pay £6bn in UK taxes every year. He doesn't pay personal tax here because he doesn't live in the UK. £10m a year is cheap for a CEO running a profitable billion pound business providing 340k jobs.... He should really be on about 5x that.

Two weeks ago we had solar panels and a battery fitted. We have just completed our first full week with the system. Our electric bill for the week commencing 10th March 2026 compared to the same week last year has dropped by 71% from £31.71 to £9.05. We also have not received our DNO cert yet which would allow us to sell back into the grid. On sunny days our battery has been full by 11:30am meaning we don’t yet benefit from the excess free energy being produced. We are now going to buy an electric car and fill it with free energy. If only all of the UK could do this, it would go along way to reducing the countries high energy costs. @octopusenergy @g__j

Iran hit and damaged an F-35 stealth. Since the F-35 is designed to evade radar, Iran used heat-seeking infrared systems (infrared) - a known vulnerability of the F-35. NOTE: This is the first recorded instance of an F-35 being hit by enemy fire in combat history. More significantly - Iran just demonstrated a new level of reach. Iran launched 2 ballistic missiles toward the joint U.S.-UK military base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.  Both missiles failed to hit the target. One suffered a mid-flight malfunction and the other was intercepted. Diego Garcia is approximately 4,000 km from the Iranian coastline - double the 2,000 km limit Iran previously claimed to maintain. 4K km is equivalent to a flight from NYC to LA - about 2,500 miles. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR EUROPEAN ALLIES? A 4K km strike radius brings almost the ENTIRETY of continental Europe into theoretical range. Iran has clearly been playing possum because this launch directly contradicts statements made just last month by Iranian’s Foreign Minister - who insisted Iran’s missile range was strictly limited to 2,000 km and only for defensive purposes. EUROPEAN CITIES NOW IN RANGE: London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Budapest, Rome, Athens, Madrid, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and others. @piersmorgan recently posted how alarming this is for Europe. HE’S RIGHT! The UK 🇬🇧 doesn’t have an Iron Dome like Israel's. The UK has a very good ground-based system of defense that’s excellent for hitting fighter jets and cruise missiles - but its ground-based systems CANNOT STOP BALLISTIC MISSILES. The British Air Force is quite capable and its jets can intercept drones and some cruise missiles but they can’t stop a falling ballistic missile. The UK’s ONLY real defense against ballistic missiles comes from its Type 45 Destroyers and their Sea Viper weapons system. The UK has a total of six Type 45 destroyers. But the Royal Navy usually only has 3 operational and ready to fight at any given moment. Because the UK is an island and these ships are designed for the open ocean, they can only protect a city if they are physically floating near it. In other words, as one British expert stated, in order to protect London from a ballistic missile, you’d have to park a billion-pound destroyer permanently in the Thames Estuary. In other words, if the ship is in the English Channel, it might protect Portsmouth and London, but it can't protect Manchester or Glasgow at the same time. As someone who has a daughter living in London (I’m proudly going to her Masters Degree graduation in June), I certainly share Piers’ concern.
