@WillFealey They'd have been better off putting twice the number at half the rate. Would potentially cost the same/less and you'd have twice the vehicle capacity, negating the need for people to 'pop out and move', which we all know wouldn't happen.

Perfect example of what consumers want, at the gym and there are 6 x 350kW Rapid Chargers. The only issue (and it’s a big one) is the cost at 84p/kWh which is almost exactly 11 x the price someone with a driveway pays in the same town/city. To charge my Tesla at home costs (for a full fill which I never do but it helps for the comparison) £8.09 (accounting for 10% energy loss and using Octopus Energy Intelligent at £0.075/kWh) To charge my Tesla at this location (again hypothetical as I’d never go from 0-100% here but you get my point) would cost £91.63! I get that these companies need to pay back the high cost to install these chargers (although given its location next to a big stadium I suspect there was enough power) but a lot more needs to be done to lower the price of electricity for those who don’t have home charging options! Government needs to better subsidise the cost of bringing in the power (like they do for petrol and oil exploration), then let the companies fight over who has the rights to the chargers at this location. If the usage is low, there is poor uptime or similar another company moves in. What do you think?
