eatlocalfirst.org has been an incredible source for my internship and research projects so far. It allows me to look up farms, businesses, and food that are owned and or operated by BIPOC individuals.

Seattle Zero Waste is an organization that creates a community of people interested in the #zerowaste movement. They have a Facebook group and Instagram page used to share trips and tricks. Zero waste can often be intimidating, and I love how they break down barriers! #ENVIR491

@lill_williamson @NatGeo I think it is really important to recycle, however, I know if your plastic is dirty, it often can't pass to be recycled. This percentage is really scary and makes me more away of cleaning my plastic before sticking it in the recycling bin.

Some #KeyTakeaways I've learned from my internship has been to be ADAPTABLE. If you can't keep up you'll get left behind! Also, communicating with your coworkers and site partner is so important in order to stay on task. (Sounds obvious I know🙄) #FACTS #ENVIR491

Experts that's leading the charge on Steller Sea Lion research is @NOAA @TMMC @WDFW. These organizations have been studying them for years and have done substantial amount of research #ENVIR491

@yseo_uw Seeing the decline in so many marine populations is super sad, and that's why I think ML models can help with the study for conservation for these populations!

While looking at impacts of increasing sea temperature in Alaska, I came across this survey result about how male and female snow crab population is 22% and 33% lower than 2021. Very sad to see population is still on the decline despite the efforts #ENVIR491
