No Ruslan it’s precisely because they are scared because they don’t apply the standard to their other opponents like Destiny who called for unaliving conservatives yet Trent will associate with him, while Gavin will debate a catechumen on your channel lol. You know damn well they are scared which is why you also would never agree to a formal debate.

as I've explained to you via text, there was no "against" it's an armchair discussion. we removed "debate" from any of the titles. Trent was a stand in for Michael Knowles, Josh was already speaking at the summit, we wanted to have representation of EO... because if we hadn't, then we would have gotten complaints about not having someone EO there. I'm open to recommendations moving forward. I thought Josh did amazing. there was no formal structure. You've had newer protestants call in to your show and invited folks on that aren't very versed in church history. Josh knew what we were discussing and the format and had the blessing of his spiritual father. don't see what there's to complain about it.

@RuslanKD @JayDyer The name "Oriental Orthodox" is a modern invention when in 1965 at the Conference of Addis Ababa coptics decided to make it their official name. Prior to 1965, they didn't call themselves "Orthodox". In many cases they called themselves Non-Chalcedonian churches.

@Nixie_0489 They are not Christians. You actually have no legitimate point, here. They are not, likewise, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints", nor are they, "Latter Day Saints" in the actual, true sense. A lot of actual Christians still call them "LDS", or "Latter Day Saints".

@BarelyProt Just because a Coptic calls himself Orthodox does not mean he is. Its universally known that Orthodox is EO not coptic. Prior to 1965, what did the Coptics call themselves? I hope you say something stupid so I can show docs from their church on what they called themselves prior
