My main thought about Orthodox Dating Discourse is that single men should read St. John Chrysostom's 20th homily on Ephesians. It's addressed to husbands, but single men should understand what's *really* expected of them in a Christian marriage.

If you are quick to welcome and forgive women in sexual sin but believe young men who just happen to be further right than you ought to be ostracized from the Church and society, you are a two-faced piety signaler and a hypocrite.

Reminder: The clock is ticking down. Personally, I'm estimating about 5 years or less before the novelty of the eo wears off and the hemorrhaging begins. This will, in part, be driven by a handful of important factors 1) The current mass influx of converts are actually social/political malcontents and will eventually realize that switching to eo isn't a fix for their broken lives and odd desires. The eo as a whole isn't interested in fixing them because otherwise, they'd immediately leave. 2) The eo is beginning the process of social irrelevancy. For a while, one of the primary draws for the eo was the refusal to put up with degenerate social/political ideologies and toss it in the trash. Current events show that they're just as corrupted by feminism, if not worse, as everyone else. The eo will not survive adding the West to their collective as they fall to the heglian reality of incorporating insane and weak willed feminists and simps into their fold. 3) The eo cannot survive themselves. The current issue of simony is exploding, and the eo by and large aren't condemning it, some are which is great but not enough to lend any kind of confidence in them as an organization. That's a big legitimacy issue. Now let's stop and wonder something theological. If sacraments outside the eo are invalid, why would sacraments carried over by a Protestant who's converting be considered valid? Unless, of course, Protestants by and large have an extremely vocal reaction to such obvious corruption and this was taken into consideration and they decided that simply not baptism them was preferable to being caught committing simony. But that's speculation. Surely the next big theological problem won't be this crazy... right?
