@Heather133872 @JonFraserTF News flash! We are not the US! We are beyond our fiscal capability of extravagant, self serving projects. We need cost of living reductions not increases in taxes to pander to the Toronto/Montreal elitists! The common person will not be able to afford this ride.

@Notdonejr @JonFraserTF Maybe the U.S. shouldn't have launched Artemis II. They have debt too. Should we not do anything now?

@JZerucelli This is moronic! The liberals are about to increase taxes to fund their false claims of expenditures for the military! This boondoggle is not financially feasible, the jobs can be created elsewhere with a more intelligent building program!

Pierre and the Conservatives are showing their true colours again. Pierre Poilievre says he’ll cancel the Alto high-speed rail project, that’s 51,000 good-paying jobs gone. That’s not a plan. That’s walking away from the people who build this country. These are nation building jobs, paycheques for ironworkers, operating engineers, pipefitters, electricians, and labourers. The skilled trades that keep our communities growing. Canada is ready to build. Under @MarkJCarney, we’re building big and building bold, using Canadian steel, aluminum, lumber, and Canadian workers. Real projects. Good union jobs.

@Heather133872 @JonFraserTF This is ridiculous, we can’t afford this project and spend what is necessary to overcome the mismanagement and corruption of the last 11 years of liberalism. The money for this boondoggle will be borrowed at tremendous interest cost. We have more important issues to deal with now

This is an enormously limiting philosophy that every project has to directly benefit every region. Do you think we begrudge the Atlantic provinces for having a Coast Guard just because we have no ocean in Sask? We are capable of feeling pride in the entire nation. In fact, there probably should be more of that.

Canada’s new government is supporting our Canadian Armed Forces members in New Brunswick and across the country.   We reached our NATO % defence spending target, five years ahead of schedule – and as part of that, we are investing over $1 billion at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown to upgrade training facilities, improve operational readiness, and support CAF members and their families in transitioning back to duty or civilian life.   To learn more: canada.ca/en/department-…

Look, I get the argument for building high speed rail in a country like Japan where 125 million people are crammed into a country no bigger than Montana, but to build one that would only service a few million people in the Toronto Montreal corridor is clearly insane.

I didn't want to interrupt everybody's fun laughing at the NDP convention. But enough time has passed to point out: Carney and the Liberal Party actually implement that same wacky ideology through public policy every day. Instead of "equity cards," they have "equity employment."

The controversy around the Air Canada CEO is especially interesting considering the pilots didn't work for Air Canada and the plane was owned and operated by Chorus Aviation, the parent company of Jazz Aviation. Their CEO Colin Copp seems to have escaped any controversy.

@TukiFromKL You certainly have a biased view of the history of Canada. Whatever it takes to justify your narrative, which is to distort the facts!

🚨 Do you understand why the Air Canada CEO just resigned.. he posted a condolence video.. in English only.. in Canada.. here's why that's not as simple as it sounds.. Canada has been fighting over two languages for 250 years.. the French were there first.. the British conquered them in 1763.. and for the next two centuries French Canadians watched their language, culture and identity get slowly squeezed out.. by 1969 it had gotten so bad that Trudeau Sr. had to pass the Official Languages Act.. making English and French equally official.. legally mandating bilingual communication for any federally regulated institution.. Air Canada is a federally regulated institution.. then came the 1995 Quebec independence referendum.. 50.6% voted to stay in Canada.. by 54,000 votes.. the country came within a single percentage point of splitting in half.. over language.. so when the CEO of the national airline posts a condolence video in English only.. it's not a PR mistake.. it's walking into 250 years of open wounds without looking down.. Canada almost split in half over this exact thing 30 years ago.. and the man running the national airline had absolutely no idea.

Concerning to say the least. As a Canadian, I never thought I would have to be worried about being invaded by America, but here we are.

Mark Carney said Michael Ma has apologized for dismissing forced labour in China. So, that's the end of that. Mr. Rousseau, Air Canada CEO apologized for not knowing how to speak french and Carney forced him out of his job. Funny, how that works.
