Dale and Camarillo—masters of contradiction—claim they want to lift per capita income and improve the lives of low-income Oregonians. Meanwhile, their vindictive tax policies are driving every viable business out of the state. Socialists with delusions of competence: how do you expect to do anything other than accelerate decay? (Rhetorical—of course you have no plan. Aspirations replace plans in your fantasy world.) With public schools tanking and businesses fleeing, the only “relief” left for struggling families is a larger tent or a one-way bus ticket out of this ideological wasteland. Here’s the playbook Oregon actually needs: fix education so kids can earn, not just exist. Attract businesses with sensible policies that encourage growth, hiring, and investment. Tax reasonably. Spend responsibly. Enforce accountability. End the DEI and nonprofit grift. Restore basic civic order: make streets clean, safe, and navigable instead of tent cities and zombie RVs. Fund police fully. Repeal RCV. Evict JVP. Slash parking fees. Kill SHS and PS4A. Return PCEF funds to the taxpayers. Elect moderates who actually govern instead of virtue-signaling. Rinse, repeat, restore sanity. Or Oregon can keep doubling down on the woke-a-dope socialist doom loop—blaming everyone else for your self-inflicted collapse while the state crumbles around you. wweek.com/news/state/202…

@ORHumanServices mandatory reporting training has conflicting information. DHS states the abuse rate happens proportionally equal across demographics. At the same DHS states Black/African American abuse has higher reporting AND substantiating rate. Which is it?

@oregonducksmama Sister cities such as Fresno and Milwaukie somehow are able to operate with budgets 1/4 Portland's budget. $2-2.3 billion compared to Portland's $8+ billion, with massive shortfalls. @MayorKWilson would be well served to download those city budgets as a template.

Democrat Utopia- Portland ranks second behind New York City for income taxes so not exactly shocking… 🫩😵‍💫 -Most of the respondents considering moving said they’re likely to leave Oregon, with 58% of respondents in the metro area and 49% in Portland saying they’d move to a different state. “Taxes are way above everything else,” said DHM Senior Vice President John Horvick. -In the metro area, 62% of those considering moving listed taxes as one of the top two reasons. In Portland, 55% listed taxes as one of the top two reasons.

@DSBeefin @pdxmoderate @momma_pdx @SageOfTheMtn The US Constitution limits Fed authority. The only real restriction on states in the US Constitution is specifying the type of state govt. It specifies all other authorities not specified are left to the states. Dept of Ag, edu, health etc should all be states, not fed.

Two Multnomah County commissioners have proposed limiting where to allow syringe service programs that distribute sterile needles, syringes and hypodermic devices, and dispose of used ones. The draft ordinance by Julia Brim-Edwards and Meghan Moyer asks to prohibit mobile SSPs from operating within 1,000 feet of K–12 schools. The issue has been an explosive one in Portland, where parents and neighbors of schools have long said SSPs pose risks to young students. It’s astonishing that banning needle distribution near schools is even treated as a complicated debate. We’ve normalized policies that prioritize accommodating addiction over protecting children. If someone wants clean needles, they should have to engage with treatment programs and organizations focused on recovery. That’s not cruelty — that’s accountability. Handing out needles with no expectation of rehabilitation only sustains addiction and the chaos that comes with it. And spare me the lectures about “compassion.” Real compassion is intervention. Real compassion is getting people into treatment before they overdose, destroy their lives, or victimize everyone around them. Enabling self-destruction indefinitely is not humane policy. Meanwhile, we continue placing low- or no-barrier shelters near schools and pretending families should just accept the consequences: needles on sidewalks, theft, public drug use, violence, and constant instability in the neighborhoods kids pass through every day. The standard we’ve forced children and families to tolerate is unbelievable. Society seems more concerned about protecting the comfort of addicts than protecting the safety and normalcy of kids trying to get to school. @jvegapederson @MayorKWilson @GovTinaKotek @ wweek.com/news/county/20…

@pdxmoderate @momma_pdx @SageOfTheMtn Disagree as long as we abolish fed level duplicate agencies. The Constitution doesn't give fed authority to oversee medicine, food, etc. States have academic resource and capability to do this work. Let states coordinate these functions outside the fed. More the merrier.

Oregon, Washington and California will be forming a Health Alliance. This is going to be dangerous for everyone living here. You should be alarmed. 👇👇👇👇👇 This is communism indeed. Shame on our Oregon legislators such as Lisa Reynolds or Maxine Dexter for ever suggesting that people needed to be force vaccinated. I do not want anything to do with this so called health alliance.

Spencer Pratt is surging in the LA mayor’s race by saying the things voters feel but politicians won’t. “It is not symptomatic of a red wave. It is about tens or even hundreds of thousands of voters waking up from their stupor and demanding to know what the hell happened to their city. It is about the massive homeless encampments, the pockmarked freeways and crumbling sidewalks, the broken schools, the unbelievably expensive houses and, of course, the fires. It is about the breakdown in civilization and Angelenos’ desire to return to some semblance of normalcy,” writes @PeterSavodnik.

Bill Maher looks visibly taken aback after he realizes Democrats’ gerrymandering efforts have backfired badly. “Republicans are winning the gerrymandering war.” “Texas, Florida, Ohio, Missouri, North Carolina: They’re all now more Republican.” “Show the map of Tennessee. This is really what’s going on here. They’ve taken Memphis, a majority black city, and they moved it into three different districts to dilute the vote.” “Virginia gerrymandered on the Democratic side, and the Supreme Court in the state said they can’t. So that’s a big loss for the Democrats. They’re not going to get that to even the score.”

What made Joe Rogan uniquely influential and important in politics was that he built a huge audience based on apolitical topics like culture and comedy and MMA, so his politics talk reached a massive number of people not already captive to a party or ideology. George Soros' son can finance a huge platform of hardcore partisans and make a lot of money, but it's not changing or affecting anything. Meidas Touch watchers are, by definition, already fanatically partisan Democrats and so it doesn't matter how big the audience grows.

We can do better than a 'Joe Rogan of the left' — and we have. They're called @MeidasTouch, and they're outperforming every benchmark. Congrats, guys. barrettmedia.com/2026/04/23/mei…

If Governor candidate Chris Dudley wants to offer Oregon voters a choice different from the incumbent, he should make up his mind on "choice". oregonjournalismproject.org/trailing-in-th… The Oregon Journalism Project has a videotape interview of candidate Dudley declaring, “I’m pro-choice. I’m not going to change who I am.” Being pro-abortion puts Dudley in the same camp as every Democrat, including incumbent Tina Kotek. It also puts him in Oregon’s cult of death that includes taxpayer-funded abortion on demand. Governor Kotek goes so far as to offer taxpayer dollars to bring young ladies in from non-abortion states to kill their babies here. But it apparently occurred to Dudley that asking for the votes of conservative republicans might require something else. Willamette week reports Dudley sent out a text message this week announcing a contradictory position: “Personally, I’m pro life”. For voters, "personal" doesn’t matter. What you would DO as the Governor does. The two other Republican front-runners for Oregon Governor, Ed Diehl and Christine Drazan, are unapologetically pro-life. Straddling that fence informs voters on both sides of the issue that they can’t trust your position. I think it’s time for Chris Dudley to choose whether he’s pro-life or pro-abortion, so I’ll invite him on the radio to tell all of us exactly where he stands.
