It appears they try to keep chatter about it hushed, even delete bad reviews, so it doesn’t hurt book sales.

I can open a comment with 400 posts and only be allowed to see 12-15 of them. I am never allowed to see most of the replies to any comment.

Maybe the most important thing you learn by attending public school is that we are all at the mercy of the bottom quintile. The rules you follow in life will be based on the behavior of the bottom quintile, the taxes you pay are to support the bottom quintile, the greatest risks to your life and property will come from the bottom quintile, the dearth of comfortable public spaces is because you have to allow the bottom quintile to be there, our zoning laws are developed for fear of the bottom quintile.

@EssentialyJenn @kenzietuff If you’ve been in the children’s section in pretty much any bookstore, you’ve probably seen the series. Search for the author’s comments about deciding to add that content and read the one-star reviews for Book 13 online.

So your "choice" is have your 3-year-old sit through trans story hour without question, OR pay for expensive private school/ shift to home-schooling. Not an actual "choice" for a lot of working families.

There was recently some dragon book series marketed to fourth and fifth graders and the kids get hit with a lesbian dragon plot line once they are 6-7 books deep.
