It’s no secret that I haven’t been persuaded by Spencer Pratt. I respect how anyone decides to vote, and understand why some of my friends like him. But the more I hear from Spencer, the more questions and concerns I have about his candidacy for LA mayor. If Spencer can’t take my criticisms and needs to block me, then he shouldn’t be running for mayor. If Spencer is confident in everything he says, he should be willing to chat with someone with no agenda other than the Palisades recovery and overall betterment of LA. Despite my frustration and sometimes anger at Mayor Bass, in my view, she’s preferable to Spencer Pratt. I suspect some people who might be willing to take a flyer on Spencer would reconsider if they heard us go toe-to-toe. Consider it a public service offering! I’m glad we can all freely share our views and keep it respectful.

One of our enterprise customers, a large insurance company, told us they achieved a 99% reduction in reshoot costs using Runway ($7 in Runway credits vs. $ 10K+ for a typical reshoot). They needed to change a single word in a VO to localize a US commercial for Canada, and used Runway for lip sync and audio generation instead of organizing a reshoot. Verbatim feedback: “You can’t even put a price on the speed to market.” Expect a lot more 99% cost reduction stories to come up soon.

I don't understand how the tech media can afford to do this. What is the point of punching down like this? The whole ecosystem from founders to VCs understand that you try an improbable thing, you work hard for years, you learn, you get better, maybe it fails, you try again.
