The Kofi Annan Courage in Cartooning Award 2026 is a humbling recognition! It was also such a big honour for the Geneva event to be graced by Nobel Laureate in Economics, Prof. Joseph Stiglitz. I do not take it for granted. Thank you

The mother of Mikaeil Mirdoraghi, a third-grade student grade student killed in U.S. airstrike on primary school in Minab: I had prepared dinner for him and when he was eating he said: “Mom, the food you made tastes like heaven.” I said: “My son, why are you saying this? You’ve never said this before.” Around midnight he put pillows around himself and sat with his brother. He said: “Brother, let’s play. I’m Iran and you’re America. Let’s play with guns and tanks.” They started playing together. He said: “See, Iran won? Brother, Iran won. I was Iran and I won.” My son said Iran was the winner. All these things seemed to be inspired to him that night. He did all of this the night before his martyrdom. He also prayed and read the Quran that night. In the morning he said: “Mom, take a picture of me.” This child was an angel. He used to say: “My name is Mikaeel. Mikaeel means God’s angel. If anyone has a wish, tell me so I can fulfill it.” God loved him too and took him to Himself. It is true, exactly like that. It was the heartless America that launched a missile at this school where there was nothing suspicious. They just wanted to kill our children.

She’s Kitibwa Rena Grace, a 15-year-old girl whose dreams were shattered after sitting her PLE in 2024. Earlier today, I spoke to her mother, a single mother of four who is going through an incredibly difficult time. She lost her small salon business while trying to take care of the children and is now battling high blood pressure. As we speak, she is sick, and none of the other children managed to go to school this term. What broke my heart the most is Rena’s situation. Since 2024, she has never even known her exact PLE results. The school only told her that she got a First Grade, but they withheld the results because her school fees balance had accumulated to 800,000 UGX, which the mother failed to clear. I asked whether they had tried checking the results through SMS, but the mother told me the school blocked them. I got emotional while speaking to this confused and distressed woman. I kept asking myself why I don’t yet have the capacity to simply solve such a problem for a young girl without having to bring it here. But this is the reality. So I’m reaching out to all of you. How best can we come together to help this family?
Gideon Nova Kwikiriza@KwikirizaNova

Naye Uganda bali bubi you people 😭😭 This girl completed P.7 in 2024 and she’s never gone to school. Worse, she’s never even had an opportunity to know her results because the school demands 800k. I’m gathering all the details and I will share here and see how we can help. God should really give me capacity to help such without asking anyone 😭

The Speakership of Parliament has never been competed for in the manner it is now. What is in it for the competitors? It’s not definitely better service delivery for the people, so what is it? It’s control of its huge budget that is the undeclared target, that’s the source power. In return for that budget there is an implied acceptance of the obligation of pliability. What’s required is an independent Speaker that guarantees the independent role of Parliament as a representative of the people’s interests and rights. But alas this seems unlikely to be achieved.

Statement from CNN on the arrest of Don Lemon: “The FBI’s arrest of our former CNN colleague Don Lemon raises profoundly concerning questions about press freedom and the First Amendment. The Department of Justice already failed twice to get an arrest warrant for Don and several other journalists in Minnesota, where a chief judge of the Minnesota Federal District Court found there was “no evidence” that there was any criminal behavior involved in their work. The First Amendment in the United States protects journalists who bear witness to news and events as they unfold, ensuring they can report freely in the public interest, and the DOJ’s attempts to violate those rights is unacceptable. We will be following this case closely.”

People ask me how I manage my anger and do not appear to lose it as fast as I used to. And I have plenty of reason to be mad. In the last 24 hours I have been called all kinds of names, my intelligence has been insulted, ‘inconsequential’ ‘low pay grade’ then one called me a mwiru (the worst thing a muhima can call a Munyankore under the caste system) another one threw in gender issues by asking if I was in my period (and I am 60 yrs so post-menopausal) 🤣🤣🤣. Honestly, activism on X is not for the faint hearted. But truthfully, I am having the time of my life. I was gagged for 13 years by a job that did not allow me to participate in political discourse and now I am retired and as free as a bird so I am singing and tweeting- loudly! How do I manage my anger? I came to an understanding a while ago that our opponents really believe we are bad people. They exist in their own dimension and think with a different part of their brain. What they see and say is their truth and they are entitled to it. I do not focus on them. I focus on people who are still looking for answers and can be swayed by logic. For those we like to call sycophants I do not give any space in my mind. I freed myself of their sarcasm and abuse long ago and I am able to read their ranting and see the funny side of it. So next time before you fire back at one of them. Read the text again and laugh at their ignorance😂 😂 They do not deserve any other emotion. Focus!

Everyone Knows Shell, bp, and ExxonMobil But the Real Power Sits Somewhere Else Shell, bp, ExxonMobil are builders. 💰They spend billions drilling holes in the ground. But the traders play a different game. The hidden giants: Vitol, Trafigura, Glencore. The difference is structural. 👨‍🏭 Operators • Take geological risk • Spend capital years before cash flows • Make money only if prices cooperate • 💡Key metric: Reserves Replacement 👨‍💼 Traders • Take zero geological risk • Deploy balance sheet, ships, storage, timing • Make money on volatility, not direction • 💡Key metric: Arbitrage spread Vitol does not care if oil is $100 or $40. They care if oil is $40 in Texas and $42 in Tokyo. They charter the tanker They book the storage They move the molecule They pocket the spread millions of times a year. In 2022, while producers struggled with policy shocks and cost inflation, Vitol made $15 billion in profit. That is more than the GDP of some countries 🤯 #oott #Brent #WTI

My cousin opened a daycare in Minnesota using $127,000 she got from banks at 0% interest She had $4,000 in savings Everyone told her to get an SBA loan. 10% interest, 6 months of paperwork, collateral requirements, and they still might say no Instead she applied for business credit cards in a specific sequence over 3 weeks: Chase Ink Cash: $31,000 Amex Blue Business: $28,000 US Bank Business: $24,000 PNC Business: $19,000 Wells Fargo Signify: $25,000 $127,000 in capital. 0% APR for 15 months. No collateral. No business plan required. Approved based on her 711 credit score She used the money for: - Lease deposit and 3 months rent: $24,000 - Licensing and permits: $8,000 - Furniture and equipment: $31,000 - Renovations: $29,000 - Operating capital: $35,000 Daycare opened 67 days after first approval Current revenue: $43,000/month Current profit: $19,000/month Months until 0% expires: 11 She'll have the cards paid off in 7 months from business profits. Banks got their money back. She owns a business free and clear The SBA loan would've taken 6 months to MAYBE get approved. She'd still be filling out paperwork while her daycare is printing money Nobody tells you that business credit cards are the fastest path to funding. Banks want you stuck in loan applications forever Your business idea doesn't need investors. It needs someone who knows how to sequence bank applications (I help you get up to $250k in 0% funding for any business. DM me if you have a 680+ score and a business you're ready to launch)

Our current AI Agents can generate documents with 20,000 plus words. How I built it; - We have an ochestrator that cordinates the agents and different agents handle different tasks. - We have an agent that monitors for coherence using the vector database. - An agent that searches for relevant research papers. - A writing agent. - A summarization agent that creates summaries for coherence that we feed back into the prompt with chunks from vector database. The entire document is first chunked and we generate chunks in a zoom in format -> Global -> local -> paragraph above and below -> Next paragraph and the result is continous coherent document. We also incoporate citations by creating Base64 citation nodes that we pass together into the frontend to convert to any citation style using CSL. It is a beautifull thing. You can switch between any citation styles automatically and document can handle more than 1000 styles. For formulas, we use LaTeX.

Make this year about you.. Avoid the friends whose actions trigger you. The friends that don’t check on you when you go mute. The friends that are so quick to ask for help but offer none when you’re down. The friends that want you when you’re all happy and ok but ignore you when you’re in need. Sometimes it’s ok to be selfish. Sometimes make things about you… If it doesn’t serve you, don’t give it time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Due to recent developments in Venezuela, the160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) has been taking the lion's share of the attention for their helicopter assault. However, a few people have been curious how helicopters were able to infiltrate Venezuelan airspace without any substantial resistance. That brings us to the unsung hero of the operation, the United States Navy's EA-18G Growler aircraft. Growlers are designed to detect, locate, and suppress enemy radar systems. As the United States Navy began to show up off the Venezuelan coastline, EA-18Gs began flying along the boundaries of Venezuelan airspace. The Media, with characteristic love of ignoring the details, was quick to paint these flights as mere shows of force. However, these flights were intelligence gathering missions. EA-18s were systematically mapping out Venezuelan radar systems, identifying where they were at their strongest while also probing for weakspots. As subsequent flights were carried out, the Navy gathered a better picture of Venezuelan radar capability. This allowed them to determine how best to penetrate the Venezuelan air defense network. Even if no gaps were present, they at least knew where the weakest links in the chain were. A few precision strikes on key targets could open up a safe corridor. By the time they were finished, the United States likely knew Venezuelan radar network better then the Venezuelans themselves did. With their knowledge of the radar system, the US probably could have flown the Goodyear blimp into Caracas if the fancy struck. Intelligence is vital for preparation and the Navy EA-18s were vital for gathering said intelligence.
