@DadInvest Happened to me when I bought my home…non-W2 (and associations with it) significantly hamper income verification
Would recommend a mortgage broker, or if you want to do it yourself, RocketMortage had the fairest income calculations to biz owners
English

I am floored at what my bank is doing with mortgage underwriting. They took 30% off of my verified comp (that they pay me!), marked my wife’s income and our dividend and interest at zero, then took another 15% charge against my income for my wife’s business because there were startup losses two years ago. Then they required the equivalent of 8 years’ worth of post-close cash reserves, something I’ve never heard of before.

@andruyeung Send it to their accounts payable department (might be a generic email or particular person). Copy the new team who would’ve been in charge of this had your other folks not left.
English

@useapolloio needs to get back to basics. I think I’m more tech savvy than most and using this software makes me want to pull out my hair. Why does the AI suck?!? Have to re-do all the AI generated lists from scratch anyways. UI annoying to navigate, get back to basics!

@nikillinit Hey Nikhil, I’ve been there (biz owner & bought in BK) and found an awesome mortgage broker who understood what needed to be done, happy to connect. All big banks suck. If you still wanna wing it, Rocket Mortgage is most lenient.

@DadInvest Will be ready for your wild card trades this time around! haha

@nikillinit I’ve done a lot of the LabCorp tests on my own. Usually anything that’s an outlier, I’ll ask ChatGPT to get a bit of context, then do a telehealth appointment. If in person is needed, I’ll go to an urgent care for ~$150 to see a PCP.
All of this is pretty cost effective
English

seems like labcorp launched a product direct to consumer that gives a lot of the same tests longevity companies give
the lab companies are dinosaurs in a lot of ways (e.g. setting up integrations via API) but they've been pretty aggressive about pushing into direct-to-consumer
If you want to get interpretation + context about how the results fit into your health more broadly, then you still need a services layer on top

@alexforbes__ @ShannonJean I’m coming up on my 10 yr anniversary of holding NFLX and META — 1100%+ & 660%+, respectively.
There’s a lot of REITs that pay 20% dividends paid monthly/quarterly as well. That could be a good balance between cash flow, liquidity, and potential growth
English

If you’re under 35 yrs old and have some cash saved up melting away from inflation, where are you investing your money right now?
Are you hopping on the stock market roller coaster, going safe with bonds, or diving into a tough real estate market?
Assume 10+ year time horizon until you may want to liquidate this investment.
English

@realEstateTrent Outfront Media 10-Ks would probably have a lot of juicy details
English

@volisdead 2 follow-ups in group chat
1st: “hey, can those of you who haven’t Venmo’d yet, do so when you guys get the chance?”
2nd: “just a reminder, have only gotten 2/10”
3rd (individual) but don’t make a big deal: “hey you’re one of the few who I haven’t gotten a Venmo from” then let go
