Glad that @JoniakGrant called out the failure of several @supportprop leaders and members to fully disclose their PROP membership as a conflict of interest at the @US_FDA Joint Meeting on May 5, 2025. But there weren't just 4 PROP speakers; 7 of 10 speakers were PROP members or leaders (with an 8th PROP ally). This is based on objectively identifying the speakers as signatories to PROP documents iterating a position on opioid policy or an updated PROP organizational chart. Knowing this, it is clear that PROP subverted the intended transparency of FDA's process to further its own demonstrably flawed, self-serving and false narrative.
Anne Fuqua@PainPtFightBack

4/ g. Lastly, she addresses, PROP, the importance of disclosure of affiliations/COI, and PROP’s dominant presence during oral comments.

@supportprop is a bunch of abelist evil “Doctors” yea they went to school but they certainly aren’t educated on much other than how to fleece the @US_FDA and America. They are experts on GREED and most are psych doctors who know how to mentally manipulate people for their own financial gain. The are ableist who want to HURT people who already been dealt a rough hand in life and treating their pain is a CHANCE to do things that make them happy and LIVE, and PROP wants to TAKE THAT AWAY. Wake up America and wake up @realDonaldTrump they are CON ARTISTS who continue to fleece you

What I love about pain management is being able to see patients in real time feel better after you've added a pain regimen, adjusted one, or taken away something that was a hindrance to them. It's always important to make sure you are listening and aware of the patient's needs!!

RANT WARNING: Dear fellow physicians, Please cut the crap with the "opioids are bad" trope. It's simpleminded and harmfully stigmatizes patients with high-impact chronic pain. It's ableist. And - much of the time - it's racist (I see you, sickle cell patients). If you're reluctant to prescribe opioids, fine - then don't. And don't project your fears onto those of us responsibly addressing pain care for patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses. We are not drug dealers. I get paid the same whether I prescribe an opioid or not. I don't take money from pharmaceutical companies for research or to prescribe certain drugs. I am not anyone's shill. If you don't know your state's laws for opioid prescribing, admit it - or look them up and learn them. Don't make up stupid💩about prescribing restrictions that don't really exist (and yes, I know some states have misguided hard dosing limits, but not Florida). Don't lie to your patients to hide your ignorance. Opioid therapy isn't for everyone, but there is clearly a group of patients for whom benefits exceed risks or harms. You're not "protecting them from addiction" when you falsely accuse them of misuse, addiction or doctor shopping. Please, please just stop screwing these people - and stop screwing the physicians willing to help them. Signed - Compassionate pain care physicians everywhere who are absolutely done with the systemic disinformation about opioid therapy #hapc #hpm #PainCareCrisis

Get rid of the cartels and give pain patients their medications back. No more gate-keepers. Nobody cares about me like I do. I don’t need others telling me what’s best for me. This is the REAL opioid crisis. And guess what? It already happened before in the 80’s. Whole reason for pain becoming the 5th vital sign. People were being tortured, and others thinking they knew best for you. Medical schools need to be taught a lesson. History is very important.

Let’s talk about how those of us w/ chronic pain are pariahs to the medical system. Docs across medical groups and telehealth companies don’t want to even treat our (unrelated to pain) common issues like ADHd, insomnia, or anxiety — at least not w/ appropriate and effective scheduled meds. (And ESPECIALLy not when they see “opioids” in our background / historical chart. Even w/ NO “SUD” diagnosis and NO notes about addiction — only clean urine tests and a perfectly followed pain contrac, prior.) And I am NOT just spouting off. I KNOW this to be true. I have put my already medically traumatized ass on the line and even recorded many of these “visits.” Many are w/ actual PSYCHIATRISTS who I’m told should have zero issue prescribing a low dose of a stim like Ritalin for adhd, and a sleeping med that works like ambien or lunesta. Y’all I’ve been to 13+ docs on @RedboxRx @GrowTherapy_, @lifestanceUS, and now @onemedical w/ @amazon. NONE will provide appropriate ADHD or insomnia meds — and I am on NO OTHER scheduled meds! I have hope for this last one (@onemedical) as their doc said “no stigma here.” But then she sent me nonsense about “better sleep hygiene” after I told her there are BIOCHEM & BRAIN WAVE abnormalities that I cannot overcome w/out meds (well, “normal” for fibro, circadian rhythm disorder)! What is UP with ALL these docs spewing woo to folks w/ serious medical issues just to save their ass from having to prescribe even a starting dose of say, Ritalin? It’s ABSURD! So much medical gaslighting! Approximately 1/4 of them became upset, loud and belligerent, claiming the meds I should be on (w/ my official diagnoses) are themselves inherently “addictive.” This is foolish and not scientifically sound and I report these nuttier, useless ones..

NOT A PHYSICIAN This man is not an expert in pain other than the pain he causes, and torturing, disabled people, and threatening them with surveillance, for surgeries, and promotes the medical implant society.
Weston, RN, BSN | 💊♻️🩺🥄@WestonKaszer

Once again I find myself asking "what pain mgmt modalities are attacked & purposefully underutilized?" The answer is opioids, thus why advocacy is biased towards opioid access & fairer opioid policy. Pts neednt change their advocacy, ppl need to stop claiming advocacy = addicts.
