A special highlight was finale of the Beijing Masters Cup International Ballroom Dance Open, alongside a soulful performance by one of our gifted artists Natasha Baig in Urdu and Chinese languages. Such moments remind us that 🇵🇰🇨🇳 friendship of all seasons is woven through both policy and people, art and inspiration. My appreciation to all partners, artists, and friends who joined in celebrating not just a milestone, but an everlasting bond.

Pakistan Embassy Beijing Co-Hosts Star Gala to Celebrate 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations On 11 April 2026 in Beijing, Pakistan Embassy co-hosted with the renowned China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC) a Star Gala to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. The cultural event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, creative industries, media and business leaders to celebrate the iron friendship that continued to grow from strength to strength. In his remarks, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi highlighted that generations of leaders and diplomats from both Pakistan and China had established a model inter-state partnership rooted in mutual trust, mutual respect, and mutual support. He emphasized that people-to-people connections remained central to this relationship, with cultural exchange playing a key role in sustaining it in all seasons and circumstances. Mr. Long Yuxiang, Executive Chairman of the China International Cultural Communication Center, underscored the enduring strength of China-Pakistan friendship and highlighted the importance of cultural communications and exchanges in fostering mutual understanding and civilizational dialogue. Ms. Zhai Meiqing, President of Xiangjiang Group, also addressed the event, emphasizing the role of cultural and creative industries in promoting cross-cultural and people-to-people connectivity. The Gala featured a range of cultural performances showcasing artistic excellence and cross-cultural synergy. A key highlight of the evening was the captivating performance in Urdu and Chinese languages by acclaimed Pakistani artist Ms. Natasha Baig, whose songs added a distinctive cultural dimension to the celebrations. This event comprised the cultural component of the series of commemorative activities marking 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. During a day long visit to Bengbu, the group was briefed on Dachan Group’s state-of-the-art facility. It’s a hub for intelligent manufacturing, poultry breeding, and food processing. Since 2005, the Group has led in animal feed and processed chicken products. A fruitful visit to the Anhui BBCA Bio-Chemical Complex. BBCA is a global leader in PLA (polylactic acid) production. What makes this facility truly unique is its complete mastery of the PLA value chain: from corn fermentation to biodegradable resins, and finally to a wide range of finished eco-friendly, biodegradable products e.g. compostable clothes, disposable tableware, textile fibers, and even leather-like biomaterials, all made from PLA. This bio-material, thermoplastic derived from corn, starch or sugarcane represents JV opportunities for Pakistan joint ventures including under CPEC's green industrial framework. On the sidelines of IRID Expo, I was privileged to represent fellow Ambassadors and diplomatic envoys in our meeting today with Vice Governor of Anhui Province, Mr. Zhang Shuguang. I thanked him for his detailed briefing on impressive progress made in agriculture sector mechanization, increased productivity, & high quality production. I highlighted the central role of agriculture in Pakistan's economy & rural development. Interacted with our Consuls General in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong & Shanghai at the concluding session of the first quarterly review meeting of the Annual Action Plan. We spoke about sustaining the momentum of coordinated work and its impact. We also discussed milestones for next quarter and preparations for a B2B Investment Forum on ICT next month in Hangzhou.
