A new journey has begun at Iganga High School SSS. With support from our #ClimateFellow, we held an inception meeting to establish the #GreenMaster Club, bringing together the club leaders and patrons to introduce the programme, share how the club will work, and shape a common vision for the term ahead. We were also glad to develop this term’s work plan together, an important step in turning ideas into action. It is always powerful to see young people step into spaces of leadership, learning, and climate action with energy and purpose. We are still hovering with excitement from seeing so many of you show up to celebrate #G4CAAT10 through our first pre-event dubbed Pour and Paint for Climate Justice and the wrap up of the ECOSEF Project! As we launch our #G4CAAT10 activation, it’s incredible to look back at how we started as a group of young people in 2016 and see how far we’ve come. As Our Strategy Lead @JoanitaBabirye shared, "We all need to be aware and be cognizant of the fact that the climate is changing, and we need to do something about it." Young Artivists Shine at #PaintAndPour Fundraiser in Jinja, organized on #InternationalWomenDay2026, bringing together art, advocacy, and community engagement in a vibrant event that showcased the power of creativity in advancing climate awareness. Among the highlights of the event were performances and exhibitions by trained artivists, who participated through a dynamic fashion show, an engaging stage play, and a compelling painting exhibition. Their work reflected the growing role of young women in using artistic expression to raise awareness and inspire action around #ClimateJustice. We held Parish Environment Subcommittee trainings in Kiribairya (Buyende) & Balawoli (Kamuli), grounding climate discussions in lived experience and local knowledge. The committees committed to conduct a tree-planting campaign across 8 villages & inclusive leadership @awdf01

With support from @UNDPUganda, we’ve launched green #BusinessBootcamps in @NebbiDistrict, engaging 50 youth in tree nurseries, organic inputs, clean energy, mushroom growing & value addition. This is the first step toward skilling 150 youth across Nebbi, Kasese & Gulu. @EUinUG

In partnership with @UNDPUganda , we activated 80 Environmental Human Rights defenders in Tororo & Kasese in policy advocacy, safety and security & power mapping. They created advocacy roadmaps to defend Rivers, forests and lands being taken over by corporate extractive companies

As we move toward the #GreenBusinessSkills Mentorship, we’re engaging district leaders to align and build shared ground. With support from @UNDPUganda, we’re strengthening environmental defenders and supporting youth to build sustainable, climate-responsive livelihoods. @EUinUG
