I took a sample of motorway runoff into the River Wye recently. The pollution level for Benzo(g,h,i)perylene exceeded the legal Standard by 675 times. How can our rivers ever recover when this toxic pollution occurs every time it rains? This chemical is extremely toxic.

We're driving productivity this year 👇 At 1.5 miles long, the Chipping Warden Green Tunnel is the most advanced of its kind on this section of the HS2 route. ✅ Over one mile of concrete foundations and blinding is now in place. ️✅ More than 1,500 metres of precast concrete arches have been installed. ✅ Over 1,100 metres of tunnel have already been handed over to our earthworks team for backfill. The lessons learned here are already helping us accelerate productivity on our other green tunnels at Greatworth and Wendover. Watch our latest video to learn more about this tunnel and others: 👉 ow.ly/GFUq50Xj3gl

Cool fact of the day: More of HS2 will be underground than the London tube line, the Elizabeth Line. (50% vs 45%)
