From pastors arguing that women shouldn’t be allowed to disagree with pastors (ANY pastors, not just their own) on the Internet to other pastors posting how conservative networks within the SBC are not helpful, to others saying it’s my fault that an anonymous person was disagreeable on the Internet, it feels like somebody called a meeting today! Or, it’s just a month before the Southern Baptist Convention.

Excuse me? You quote me all the time. You mention my name all the time. I maybe reply to one of every 15 of these mentions. So the kind of response you get is your problem. Like almost every single large account, I have many followers who identify themselves. And I have some who don’t. And some of those who don’t also don’t happen to particularly like me. So this is trying to shift the bad behavior of people I don’t know, for whom I bear no responsibility, to me. It’s a cheap and dirty trick. And it is certainly beneath the dignity of the office of pastor.

Sometimes when I share that the normal church is a small church, someone reminds me that most people go to larger churches. And that’s true. And I am a teaching pastor at the largest church on the west coast. So, I’m not against large churches. But, I’m FOR celebrating small churches, which often get forgotten in our church ecosystem.

@BlueBoxDave I'm pretty much with you but....live in Colorado 3 hrs from 2 grand girls...aging parents in Minnesota and 3 grand boys in northern Nevada. Road trips to visit are a priority. Wondering if self driving would be safer as I age from mid 60s. Can't afford flying. Airports too far
