@trq212 We want to have a Slack bot that spins up a cloud Claude session connected to a knowledge base repo so we can ask questions about that knowledge base -- is this doable with Claude Code and Slack integration? It seems more focused on coding/PRs?

We've added Plan Mode to Claude Code in Slack. When you give Claude a complex task it will ask you clarifying questions and show you an implementation plan before proceeding.

@austinnickpiel How do you get comfort in trusting AI to correctly categorize risk? LLMs aren’t great at risk classification.

We've moved our entire code review lifecycle onto Automations. Cursor will approve and unblock changes that are low risk and automatically assign reviewers based on commit history for changes that are medium/high risk. There is so much power in transforming historically static processes (*all* changes must be reviewed by X people) to dynamic ones (# of reviews scales with risk of the change).

Sendlane just got acquired by Privy, yet I haven't seen a single post on LinkedIn in the last 24 hours mentioning this. Wow. 1-2 years ago, we had Yotpo & Sendlane fighting tooth and nail with Klaviyo and tons of people (including me) were convinced they could take a chunk out of their market share. Today, they're not even in the discussion. It's just Omnisend left. How quickly the market can change. Klaviyo have been left more powerful than ever. Who's going to challenge them now? They're in a galaxy of their own.

@danshipper Have you found certain software vendors work better for agents ? Just looking at the stats this agent is surfacing. Or is this working well with traditional vendors (eg Hubspot)?

Measure ULA: let's talk about it! We endorsed it, campaigned for it, and were thrilled when it passed in 2022. But now, multiple studies have now found it's having significant impacts on housing production and general tax revenue. Here's what we know 🧵

@karimatiyeh It’s great but also not that useful without taking into account expenses paid annually and the accompanying amortization. This is a cash based budgeting tool.

1. Finance creates a budget spreadsheet 2. Spend happens across multiple systems 3. Someone manually exports data from those systems 4. They reconcile it against the budget by hand 5. After a week, the data is already outdated 👆This is over. Ramp Budgets is here.

Every single PR I merged today was written by Ramp Inspect. This is the new way to build.

The craft of engineering is rapidly changing. At @tryramp, we built our own background coding agent to accelerate faster. We call it Inspect. It wrote 30% of merged frontend + backend PRs in the past week. It’s powered by @opencode, @modal and @CloudflareDev. It runs fully in the cloud, and starts in seconds, letting every builder work at the speed of thought, no setup required. Today, we’re open sourcing the full blueprint so anybody can build their own Inspect. Just give our spec to your current coding agent, and let it build your new favourite.

Every single day I become more convinced that the next winners in vertical software won’t have a UI. They will be API-first/Agent-first products that integrate directly into a company’s Slack, Teams, Email or browser. Sales team doesn’t want another dashboard. They want deals automatically qualified in their CRM. Your accountants don’t need another portal (although they do love portals). They want invoices reconciled in the tools they already live in. A UI-less future is coming and for so many reasons it will make software better: > Zero onboarding friction (no new tool to learn) > Zero context switching (works where you already work) > Zero UI maintenance (the platform handles that) My working thesis (still tbd) is that we are moving from “software you visit” to “software that visits you.”

Our recent trip to Miami radicalized me: Santa Monica should look like Miami Beach We want ocean-view high rises, with the resulting population density supporting all kinds of great shops and restaurants, and the resulting property and sales tax revenue paying for nice public spaces, law enforcement, public transit, public schools, etc. Much better equilibrium for everyone involved (including legacy property owners).

Would be awesome for the country if he ran. One of the 10 most impressive CEOs I have ever met. Something that made me really like him as a person: Maybe 10 years ago I was eating at Scalinatella in NYC (great old school Italian place in a stone basement). Jamie Dimon sits down at the table next to us. He waits by himself for more than an hour. Super happy and relaxed the entire time. Really nice to the waiters. Never looks at his phone or his watch. Orders wine but waits to drink even a glass. I am wondering who on this planet would keep Jamie Dimon waiting for an hour? Then a young woman and her boyfriend walk in and rush to his table. The young woman says “Dad I am sorry we are late - we just feel asleep” and Jamie says “Do not worry about it. I am just so happy and grateful to be having dinner with you.”
