This video is from April 2021
In May 2021 Douglas Champan resigned as SNP treasurer claiming lack of transparency over SNP finances.
In June 2021 Peter Murrell loaned the SNP £108,000.
Claims she knew nothing are absurd
@PeterB756@packetsniffer99@spikedonline The Tories are mostly progressives too and the progressives are the problem. You can only change things by taking the progressives down. Thats why Farage is after the brexit voters from both sides , this isnt about left or right, the problem is the right are too dumb to see it.
Rupert Lowe’s vanity is off the charts. His party, Restore Britain, is shaving votes from Reform UK in Makerfield. This could hand a victory to Andy Burnham and let the ‘King of the North’ become PM. Restore is the enemy of populism, says Brendan O’Neill

@eNeecie@jk_rowling Why is everyone concentrating on them being husband and wife? She as party leader was his boss. She had obligations, as did others, to safeguard party finances.
The Peter Murrell case is extremely serious. More than £400,000 taken from SNP funds over many years is a grave breach of trust.
But the nature of the spending does not read like ordinary financial pressure or simple greed. It does not even read like normal criminal self-enrichment.
It reads like a man in real difficulty, struggling with something serious.
There is no joy in any of it.
@packetsniffer99@spikedonline Reform already have that's why Restore exists, had Reform lived up to its claims rather than sarting to water rhem down Restore would never have gotten off the ground.
@spikedonline It doesn’t matter because both Reform and Restore are amateur outfits that will disappoint their voters.
At this point the best outcome for either of them is a coalition with the Tories to inject at least some level of professionalism.
How the Hell does Peter Murrell qualify for legal aid ? It’s bad enough when the leaders of Grooming Gangs get it?
This whole thing Cleary shows the depth of corruption from the top down in Scottish politics
Doomed
I think people are forgetting the 600k ring fenced fund. This is not the cash stolen by Murrell going back to 2010. The cash he stole was from SNP party coffers
Where is the ring fenced 600k 🤷♀️
@PolskiHipis@joannaccherry Cool story, bro, but that's a newspaper article written after the fact. Evidence would be things like the literature used to advertise the collection, statements from those who handed the money to the party, or any paperwork that went with it stating the purpose of the donation.
The real victims of Murrell’s crimes are the ordinary Independence Supporters who gave their hard earned cash to the SNP with the express purpose of furthering the cause of independence. They will want to know how their donations could have been embezzled for so long without 1/6
I hope some journalists ask the real questions. She was signing the books off. She stopped the treasurer seeing the books and then appointed their stooge to go on as treasurer and not ask any questions. We all knew she was an unadulterated lying dog but this is her at her best 🤬
@CraigHouston_ I've no sympathy for him. Hope he gets the book thrown at him. On the other side of the coin my wife has no idea how much money I have in the bank. Fuck that, she'd only try to spend it.
As it turned out money was missing. A big large chunk of money.
We are led to believe Nicola Sturgeon didn’t know and she never once asked her husband Peter Murrell “where did you get the money for the Jaguar/Motor Home/jewellery?”
What an understanding and trusting wife she turned out to be.
@CraigHouston_ >£600 000 raised for the party.
<£100 000 in party funds.
"Oh, nice Jaguar honey."
"Everyone, don't ask questions about the party's finances!"
"No, I had no knowledge or suspicion whatsoever"
🤔
@CraigHouston_@macnahgalla Forget them being married for a moment, as party leader she was essentially his boss. As party leader, she and others had legal responsibilities when it came to party money. The public is being asked to accept that not a single office holder from the time noticed anything.

I don’t believe her.
How can she have walked up that driveway to her front door and never questioned the £50k Jaguar?
How could she not question all the gifts coming to her front door?
We need an independent investigation into the investigation into her and the trial date change
Nicola Sturgeon says she was “deceived” and “let down” by her “former husband” Peter Murrell which has caused her “acute pain”, in a statement.
She reiterates in her statement she had “no knowledge or suspicion” that he was using SNP funds for personal purposes.
@PolskiHipis@joannaccherry I've heard that claim many times always without anyone producing evidence. So, with no action over the £667k funds donated, it would indicate that the COPFS didn't believe the claim of it being ring-fenced.
@rt_gale99@gracebrod1e The £667k wasn't raised by the party it was raised by others and donated as 2 separate payments. The key argument is around whether it was donated to further the cause of independence or to fight the next independence referendum. With the party claiming the former.
@gracebrod1e Did the full £600k even exist? Given that the SNP modus operandi seemed to be to always give the impression of unstoppable momentum, how do we know they weren't just plucking exaggerated numbers out of the air on that fundraising website?
@RideoutTim@gracebrod1e While that was a theory put forward, there has yet to be any evidence to back it up. The funds were donated in 2 payments in consecutive years, and each year, the accounts showed less than the donated figures as in the bank.
@gracebrod1e@macnahgalla It was claimed by some in the party to have been raised "for independence," and as everything the SNP do is "for independence," it was spent on the day to day business of the party. Remember the it's woven through the accounts claim made. It would appear the COPFS agree with them
