@pavyg Emi Arango should get more hype. Good player, great look. Eala gets the Nike/Nadal treatment.

The hype and promotion over Alexandra Eala who is ranked 44 in the world is next level. I do feel sorry for all the players that are ranked higher than her and don't get a fraction of praise, privilege or promotion that she gets.

@ericmmatheny When Biden was president, MAGA cared about the price of everything! Trump's supporters used to rattle off their grocery bills, tell me how much everything cost! How much more milk & eggs cost! None of that has improved, it's actually gotten worse!

@PatrickMcEnroe This has been the case for many years. American players choose to just go to college and maybe play club tennis. The vast majority of college players don't go pro. So non US players come and gain experence living in the US .

Just re checked the numbers—ACC + SEC men’s team finals: 24 singles players… 3 Americans…HELLO??!! That’s a system that’s lost its balance. College sports used to DEVELOP American athletes. Now it’s short-term wins, global recruiting, and no structure. If American players don’t have this pathway anymore, where do they go? I’ll be talking about it tonight on Newsmax with Greg Kelly (9:40pm ET).

@SenRickScott Sorry Rick. As a 45 year resident I am reminded daily of the effects of too many people coming to Florida. Let's be smart about development before all of the open space is gone.

Higher costs of living in Florida are driving people away from the state. That's bad for Floridians, bad for business, and bad for everyone. This, on the heels of last month’s jobs numbers, is incredibly discouraging. Our state needs to get back on track and start focusing on jobs again. Creating new private sector jobs and driving down costs by getting government out of the way and letting people THRIVE is what is needed. Florida should always be setting the example on saving the American dream.

I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR ONCE!!! Even though a woke judge in Charlotte NC DROPPED THE BOND of an known Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang member ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT FROM VENEZUELA from: $1,000,000 -> $25,000... and he even posted bond!!! ...ICE CAME AND GOT HIM!!!!!! He will NOT walk free!!! Luis was charged after he fired a gun, his pregnant wife wrestled it away from him, but sadly in the process the gun fired and the bullet struck her stomach and k*lled her 7 month old baby. He was put in jail, initially given a $1m bond which was dropped to $25k. He posted bond, BUT because ICE put a detainer on him, the jail COULD NOT legally release him for 48 hours. 48 hours later, ICE showed up at the jail and got him! It is INSANE that Charlotte NC was about to let an honest-to-God known Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang member WALK OUT OF PRISON. THANK GOD FOR ICE!!!!

Rahm Emanuel: “No more U.S. military aid—financial assistance from the taxpayers for Israel. You’re a country like all other allies of ours, Japan, South Korea, the Brits, the Germans. You’re going to pay full price; you can buy what you want, but you have to abide by the laws that should be it.” “No more U.S. taxpayer support... I was in the room when President Obama’s largest assistance was under President Obama. We did the funding for the Iron Dome. But here, the days of taxpayer subsidizing Israel are over.” “No more financial aid.”

As a Catholic, I don't buy that @realDonaldTrump is dividing most Catholics at least in this country. Quite the opposite in fact. They agree with him because most American Cathloics hate that the church has become politically progressive, obsequoous to the left and at times openly Marxist. The Pope-who is American--is literally suggesting that we should turn a blind eye to the murderous mullahs, and the American taxpayer should subsidize the world's poor through open borders. As a result, the Pope and the Catholic Church is losing its relevance for most American Cathloics who believe it should stay out of politics and focus its attention to matters of faith and its own problems, lest we forget how it ignored child abuse for decades wsj.com/politics/trump…

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun: "Our goal is the complete liberation of all Lebanese land, Israeli withdrawal, the return of the displaced to their homes, and the application of state control." "To the adventurers who are endangering the fate of Lebanon and the lives of the Lebanese, I say: enough. Only the state project in Lebanon is the strongest, the most enduring, and the safest for everyone." "We are no longer a card in anyone's pocket and an arena for anyone's wars, and we will never be like that again." "This negotiation is not weakness, not retreat, and not concession, but a decision stemming from the strength of our belief in our right, our concern for our people, and our refusal to die for anyone other than Lebanon." "The negotiations do not mean and will never mean a waiver of any right, no compromise on any principle, and no violation of state sovereignty."

Fort Meade, Florida resident says hundreds showed up to their meeting to oppose a Data Center The town is already on water restriction, they can’t wash their cars, they can’t water their plants, because of toxic water crisis Their City Commission voted unanimously to approve the data center anyway “On today's episode of Taxation without representation in the small little rural town of Fort Meade, Florida, central Florida, one of the very few small towns we have left in Florida, the city council had a meeting last night. Hundreds of people showed up against the data center that's wanting to be placed in this tiny, small, rural town. Everyone spoke against it. Literally, none of the locals want it — Mind you, the area is already toxic from mosaic and the phosphate mine — everyone is on a water restriction right now. We can't water our grass, we can't wash our cars, but we're gonna put a data center that nobody asks for — Every single one of those city council members need to be recalled right now. It's time to fight back. It's enough. This sh*t has gotten outta hand” They voted yes, unanimously 5-0. The Fort Meade City Commission approved a 20-year development agreement with the developer for a massive hyperscale AI data center project. The vote occurred after a packed meeting with hundreds of residents, standing room only, who overwhelmingly spoke against it during public comment We are not governed, we are ruled

@benlandautaylor It's not for "no good reason." It's because these loans were not underwritable without enhancements. The bankruptcy provision was one of these.

Student debt discourse is bananas. The core complaint is some people have loans they can't pay off. There’s a standard policy for exactly this issue that's worked super great for centuries. In my lifetime we stopped using it for this one specific loan for no good reason.
Ben Landau-Taylor@benlandautaylor

The absolute lowest-hanging fruit in domestic policy is just "make student loans dischargeable in bankruptcy again, like they were before 1998".

A smug 25-year-old leftist activist just got HUMBLED live on CNN by Scott Jennings. Cameron Kasky claimed President Trump was part of a “human sex-trafficking network” — and for a moment, the panel let it slide. Until @ScottJenningsKY stepped in and FORCED the host John Berman to correct the record for all to hear. KASKY: “So I am appreciative that the president is being transparent about this. I would love it if he was more transparent about the human sex-trafficking network that he was a part of, but you can’t win them all.” BERMAN: “Cameron’s grateful that the president is being transparent about the Nobel Peace Prize and his desires for Greenland. Scott, what do you think about that?” JENNINGS: “You’re going to let that sit? Are we going to claim here on CNN that the president is part of a global sex trafficking ring, or…?” BERMAN: “We’re going to talk about the Epstein files. Scott… I will do the fact checking as we go along here. Repeat what you said about the global sex trafficking ring.” KASKY: “That Donald Trump was provably very involved with it.” Berman suddenly realized he was cornered: BERMAN: “Okay, we’ll get to that later. I mean, Donald Trump has never been charged with any crimes in relation to Jeffrey Epstein.”

JUST IN: Former staffer of Eric Swalwell says he s*xually assaulted her twice, says she woke up in his bed with no clothes on. The first incident reportedly took place in 2019. Swalwell has been married since 2016. The woman says she was hired at the age of 21. At one point in 2019, Swalwell pulled out his pen*s and asked her to perform oral s*x on him. She did so in a parking lot, according to the SF Chronicle. Later that same year, the former staffer says she was invited out for drinks with Swalwell. She says she became so intoxicated that she does not remember the rest of the night. She claims she woke up with no clothes on in Swalwell's hotel bed and claims she could feel "the effect of vag*nal intercourse," according to the SF Chronicle. In April of 2024, the woman, who did not work for Swalwell at this time, attended a charity gala where Swalwell was present. The woman says she became "inebriated" while getting drinks with him after and can barely remember the night. She says she told him "no" as he forced himself on her. The woman says she was s*xually assaulted by Swalwell. She says she "blacked out" but "woke up once during it and even told him to stop at one point." The woman's friend and then-boyfriend say she told them about the alleged assault the next day. Swalwell has denied the accusations and has since sent a cease-and-desist letter. The representative previously said in 2018 that alleged victims "deserve to be heard." Source: @sfchronicle
