Those plate glass and stainless steel bus shelters are probably very expensive, then there's the bollards and that expensive granite. Sometimes I think the standards are so high to be unattainable vs the tarmac car park!

@20splentyforus And EVs add another ton or 2 on top. The reality is that average speeds are less than 30mph on urban roads anyway. Setting an arbitrary limit at any level does not prevent accidents.

You hear it all the time "it's not natural to drive at 20mph". So please will someone explain what is "natural" about wrapping yourself in a metal and plastic vehicle weighing 1 to 2 tons in order to drive 1 mile to get a newspaper or for your child to get to school?

MAGA is trying to say the family authorized these photos and the campaign stunt so it’s okay. That’s false and a lie. There was an official photographer there from Arlington. The campaign wanted their guys. Arlington does that to make sure other families aren’t caught up against their wishes. That’s on top of it being a campaign staffer which is literally against Federal law. They were told that and then assaulted an Army official when she wouldn’t budge. Do you see that grave on the left? Major Navas. His family didn’t get to approve his grave being included in Trump’s stunt. You see that family visiting their loved one way in the back? They didn’t get to approve being included in this ridiculous smiling picture as they mourned. That’s why they have the rules and official photographers. Because this family doesn’t get to over rule the others and use their families for this campaign stunt. Not even for that fucking loser and former failed President Trump.

@Fingal_Cycling There's a bike traffic 🚦 light on the cycle path but unclear if that facilities a right turn. I would probably have waited at the Yield marking for it, but unsure if that would allow a safe right turn. Or if there is a sensor. Not clear infrastructure at all.

@DublinCommuters I think it's the right decision at least until safer battery chemistries (which are available) are used. Verifying that would be another problem of course.

E-scooters are a very important solution to the last mile problem… Banning them from public transport is a step backwards

I never thought I'd see the day. Every time the light went green at Bachelor's Walk, a few hundred people got through the junction on buses in one phase and there were no buses left queuing.

What is happening at Sonos is hard to believe. The company released a new app that is a big regression in reliability, usability and functionality vs the old one. Sales are falling thanks to the new app. There is no quick fix. They want to re-release the old app... but cannot
