If you bought a Whoop, I feel sorry for you. Google’s Fitbit Air just made it look silly - $100 one time payment vs Whoop’s $199–$359/year forever - Free tier actually works HR, sleep, SpO2, HRV, recovery, no paywall - Optional $10/mo for Gemini Health Coach (vs Whoop where the sub is mandatory) - Gemini analyzes meal photos, not just biometrics. Whoop can’t touch that - Conversational health AI ask questions like why was I tired Tuesday?and get a real answer - Open data platform Apple Watch, Garmin, third-party data all flow into Google Health - 7-day battery, 5-min quick charge = full day -Whoop just got a $10B valuation… and Google undercut them by 50% on day one

@benduchek @xanbarksdale Foul tips, plays at the plate, timeouts called by batter/catcher/pitcher, pitch clock violations, giving new balls to catchers, catchers interference, etc

This is the first time I've heard this... MLB umpires have 2 way microphones and are in contact with the ABS operator during the game getting feedback on their strike zone. Personally, I think that's a tremendous use of the technology to help get more calls right.

Sabastian Sawe has made history as the FIRST HUMAN EVER to run a sub two-hour marathon in race conditions 🚨 That’s 4:33 minutes per mile ‼️😱 (h/t @BBCSport, @CitiusMag)

@BleacherReport @BBCSport @CitiusMag "first human". is a really poor wording. "First runner"/"athlete"/etc… not all humans run marathons lol. Save that for "first human to walk on Mars"/"First human to breathe underwater unassisted" 😂 Kudos to Sebastian Sawe!

@beagewill @yoemsri @burkeholland Your description is completely oversimplified. It’s absolutely useful for determinative tasks, so long as they’re verifiable (for now).

@yoemsri @burkeholland No. and no. The technology was sold as something it fundamentally isn't. It's NOT intelligence. It's a spooky language machine made possible by brute-forcing the compute. It's also built on probability as a means to certainty. It's not useful for determinative tasks.

It would be hilarious if we go through this whole AI thing just to find out that it’s ultimately cheaper to pay humans to do it

@Noreplymo @Arsenalbhakt @adxtyahq @josephkunzler That’s a small amount — like 15% of salary, at a 15% discount, up to 21k max at my SP100 company in 2026. And generally those who only get ESPP and not RSUs are either not making enough to maximize it and/or sell right away for the ~3k cash value. Def not rich from an ESPP lol
